How coincidental! I also went over by $500 in July! (We have a birthday girl in July who’s like “Show me all the love!” $$$) But it’s okay because I also do a yearly budget and the couple of prior months where we were under will make up the difference so I’m not worried about it 🙂
Yeah...I usually don't. I'll rework my budget before moving money around. I'm about to rework my budget again because Iceland is about to be epic!!! LoL
I really have to thank you for doing these budget reviews. When you do yours, I do mine and you are not going to believe what I just caught: I forgot to pay my municipal utility bill for the last 10 months! It is billed quarterly and I get the bill only by email (they give a discount if you go paperless). Somehow I missed it since end of last year until I reviewed my spending and saw that category was untouched. You may have saved my property 😅
Girrrrlllllll - you see, this is why we do this because people seem to think that once you "got it together" it will always be forever together - but we are human. Just like that $500 - no matter how on top of my money I am, it got away from me..things happen but thank goodness for catching it all in time. We got this!
I’m always curious about how ppl reconcile their budgets at the end of the month. So, you keep a $500 buffer and everything else goes to where you allocated it?
@@jandabest5261 Im usually on top of it...this $500 deficit fell through the crack somewhere but because I have a high savings rate I was able to move funds around to cover it
I want you to know that you helped me to get my financial life together. I paid off all of my debt little by little, and I started saving. I will be closing on my new construction home next week. Thank you for showing me how to get my money together.
Tinesha, do you remember the story about always getting a second opinion? If I remember correctly, your mom was told that she was a diabetic but you said she said that didn't feel right, so the doctor ran more tests and they found out what the real issue was? I'm trying to find that video to show a family friend who is going through something similar. Do you remember or know what other tests they ran? Thank you so much for your help!
Oh man who knows what video that was in because it was another one of my tangents...lol. but basically they were treating her for diabetes when it was a symptom and not the issue. My mom was watching Maury one day when the guest had all the issues my mom had so my mother wrote everything down they said and brought it all back to her doctor. After advocating for herself the dr.finally agreed to test her for what she said it was... Cushings Syndrome. My mother was right...had the operation for free (she didnt hv insurance) and boom, all symptoms...diabetes included, disappeared.

My head starts spinning if I have to think about moving money from my savings… unless it’s for a trip of course😂😂

Is the word you're searching for reconcile ?
Yup 😂
