You speak about opening up, but I would say that the main driver is economy, which is currently after major COVID-19 economic problems in a state where there is more economical activity and therefore more jobs. All economies fluctuate. There are periods of less job opportunities and more opportunities. Some industrial sectors are more sensitive and will react more strongly. Finland is an economy where international economic situations have big effects. There is also much investment type products produced in Finland. So, if other parts of the world don't invest much, it will have negative effect in Finland and there will be less employment opportunities. Inflation seems to drive some countries to economic stagnation and other problems, which will effect Finland too.
It depends on your families ability to proof that you can support your living and who you count as family etc. Details are available from the Finnish immigration service website (Migri) who is also the authority who will process residence permit applications.
If you have a degree in political science, a higher education degree I assume, it's difficult to understand why you haven't been able to read the eligibility and selection criteria to bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Nursing study programs. Your question should be clearly answered by it.
Please Busayo, I am trying to apply for housing at Helsinki in respect to my studies in September 1, @ METROPOLIA UNIVERSITY OF APPLIED SCIENCES, MYLLYPURO CAMPUS; I actually applied for one housing under HOAS but was asked to present a CERTIFICATE OF STUDENT STATUS, which I forwarded my admission letter but was told it's more than three months. Please how do I go about the CERTIFICATE OF STUDENT STATUS then and which of the region is even the closest to that campus?
Hi, send an email quickly to the student services or admission services requesting for a certificate of student status, make sure you do that before the middle of June because school staffs will be going for summer holiday soon. The region to choose from is east Helsinki (myllypuro, kontula, itäkeskus etc) HOAS has houses around these region and I am sure they will give you something for sure
Do you think it is wise to settle my first year fees, rent and miscellaneous then plan to work over there to pay the rest? My fees will be paid in 2 installments. And it's a bachelor's degree.
Are you a nurse ? If yes how can I get in touch with you ? Like any social or else ? I'm also a medical student, wanna enroll in MPhil or masters program.
Thank you so much for the information. I want to study nurse in Finland 3&half years program (BSc) how much am expected to have as proof of fund? Is it the same as 6720? I have my National diploma in business administration, can I use this certificate to apply for nursing?

Who are those "no one" who isn't talking? Perhaps you don't follow relevant Finnish news media or political discussions at all? Finland has always been prepared to defend. During the last years Finland has made decisions like updating navy ships and fighters in the air force. There are also other additional investments to defense capacity and capabilities. There is also modernization of legislation to be ready for hybrid type attacks as has been seen in the Poland/Belarus border. There are additional overall resiliency activities and plans, but Finland has always been doing it. One perhaps practically smaller but in principally important activity going on in Finland and Sweden are discussions and political decision making about "upgrading" NATO partnership to membership. Finland is a member of the EU, which has security related agreement supporting members. Finland has several defense related bilateral partnerships with several countries. The deepest defence collaboration is with Sweden.
Today the EU energy ministers had a meeting about the Russian demand of different payment currency for natural gas from the one which is in the agreement. These seems to be problems at least with Germany and Hungary. Finland is supporting to follow just the agreement even though Russia has announced that it will stop deliveries, if it's demand is not followed. Finland is expecting gas deliveries to stop in the later part of this month. It will have unfortunate consequences to some factories and consumers. Finland is taking steps and supports getting the whole EU rid of the dependency from all Russian energy.
