Thanks for visiting @m0u5e! That’s awesome! I couldn’t decide between the Modern and Classic at the time and went with the Modern edition for the 4XR. Are there any other features that you are interested in seeing on the Lite?
Fair warning, the board is essentially unreturnable. They say they have a 30 day return policy, but not really. I received mine, opened the box, and immediately wasn’t thrilled with the piece design and weight. It’s a personal thing, and something that is very difficult to assess from pictures and videos. I didn’t remove the board or any of the internal packaging, so it was in perfect, untouched condition. I contacted the company about a return and refund, and they said it’s only returnable if you never open the package, like you can’t even open the shipping box to take a look. I’m sorry, but that’s a ridiculous return policy. I guess I’ll try to resell it. Just wanted to pass that information along.
Amarthurfurniture, that is a fair warning! I have heard of similar policies about other smart chessboard competitors. I’ve only been in touch with two companies customer service, but only inquired about the return policy of the other one I was considering. Reviewing Reddit posts, I’ve seen many users complain of the same issue of being unable to return the boards from across the industry so I suspect this is not a new frustration and actually a common occurrence. In one of my videos I mentioned the weight is significant when pieces are on the board, so I can relate. As far as quality goes, have you reached out to Particula about replacement pieces? The customer service rep I contacted previously seemed genuine about assuring that the classic set pieces were quality controlled and initially delayed in release because the initial batch did not meet their standards. Are you considering a new smart board, if so, which one?
@@CaptStachI’m considering just keeping it and making the most of it. The AI coaching mode could be great for my daughter. Might actually wrap it up and give it to her for Christmas:) I’m also considering the ChessNut Pro with upgraded pieces, but that’s in a completely different price range. To be fair, I can’t expect world chess championship piece craftsmanship for $300.
I like a full review on the chessboard
Thanks for visiting Jurrock! My early impressions will be coming VERY soon
Thank you so much for these videos, ordered de 4XR classic and this gives me great insight on what to expect

@ yeah! I was wondering which time formats are available to play. I can imagine bullet and blitz can be difficult on these boards

Can I buy it in other countries?😢
Hi Gaochoi0520, I am sure Particula is looking into expanding into other countries once they have products available in stock. Where are you from?
