- Some more outstanding coaching here with the phenomenal Muay Thai legend that is Saenchai (alongside the equally brilliant Addy Singpayak Rentapmuaythai) from my time last year at the inaugural Amazing Muay Thai Festival in Hua Hin, Thailand. I was kindly invited to attend the event by @TrayvaleTravel (who were one of the main organisers in conjunction with WBC Muay Thai and Fanclub Thailand).
In this clip, taken during one of his brilliant seminars at the event, he goes over how he likes to use the inverted/reverse roundhouse kick whilst sparring or fighting.

I get the impression Saenchai is so good at MT that he’s board and throws in some TKD and Capoeira for giggles.
He is showing Muay Boran techniques
Its the classic "slapping " kick or 'partner " kick from Hapkido, very
similiar to the "twisting" kick of TKD but all seem like no-shoes variation of
the "Italien whip" kick of Savate. cool to see them used by an real
fighter.

It is 10 different styles/ranges
Sanchaei uses muay femur..
Buakow uses muay matt
@@nicholasgreen339but all of the techniques come from muay boran. A lot of muay Thai doesn't include muay boran techniques... Or didn't until the past 30 or so years because they were seen as unrealistic. But saenchai doing cartwheel kicks or tornadoes solidifies their use

Is really difficult do this kick with power, but Saenchai is the king
Its not for power if you want power throw a thai style round kick not an inverted karate style kick 😂
Seems more a distraction to the setup of the power kick. Like a jab to a cross.
That’s the last time he’ll be volunteering…😂 on the other hand, saenchais kicks are so fast and fluid!

Yes ..all these r standard Muay Thai kicks
But over the years many clubs
Just use front kicks and round house kicks.
They dont use hardly any Muay thai techniques
I use those all the time to the liver, face, and inside of the legs as well
Inside kick used in shotokahan and probably other forms as well
Does jockey gym have any Traditional Martial Arts cross training roots? The fighters do a lot of things I was told not to do when I first started learning Muay Thai
Oddly enough all the stuff sanchaei does is authentic muay thai

Real Muay thai is almost extinct
Thats why sanchei stsrted fighting abroad to showcase all the different styles and techniques of Muay thai

Once you get it bro you'll pull them off easy, I can do them into head kicks, and dummy into front kicks 😎 try it bro you'll get it
If you have flexible legs you can easily do these kicks.
Inverted kick
Twist kick isn't part of Muay boran or Muay Thai, it's from vechi and goju so now saenchai is teaching karate
Some styles of Muay Boran like Muay Thaiyuth have been heavily influenced by Japanese Martial Arts like Jujutsu and Karate
All these kicks r from authentic muay thai
Its just that in modern times
Its all been lost.
Interstingly though..... karate
was in Okinawa before it went to Japan
..and it came from china before Okinawa
Karate is derived from white crane kung fu and shaolin kung fu...
..the buibushi ..the karate bible
Is chinese
All the original karate katas r still practiced in certain parts of china
All Martial Arts r from the same root..
What we class as wushu..was once..
the training methods and styles that created the
Shaolin Temple and ninjitsu..and the book
The Art of war
In the end there is only one style
