Awesome trails! I set up my own solarcan just before lockdown in Britain was put in force, thinking of opening it up once we're allowed back out again!
Nice vid. You don't necessarily need to get the positioning higher, you can simply angle it upwards very slightly as you cable-tie it to the drain pipe
I know.... 7 months took me to upload a second video XD Not good at all Thank you so much for your comment, honestly. It helps me to keep going forward :D Eternal thanks!
I don’t post on Instagram but your account is one of many that I regularly check after I go through all the posts on film community news/updates. You’ve always got some funny story posts. I didn’t quite get why you scanned blank paper first though.
Oh my god, thank you so much for this message, honestly. This makes me believe that what I'm doing can be useful for others. Thank you again. When you scan something (films, prints or normal documents) using a flat bed scanner like the one that I'm using on the video, normally you do it in 2 steps: First you do a preview of what you want to scan (selecting the scanning area and adjusting if you need to things like exposure, colour etc) and then you finally do a scan. So in order to avoid light hitting twice the photographic paper, first I've used a plain paper 5"x7" (which is the size of the photographic paper) to do a preview, then I swapped the plain paper for the photographic paper and I did a scan :).
Have you ever tried to make your own Solargraphy Pinhole camera? They are easy to make and you cool results with different types of paper. I think Solarcan uses Ilford. I prefer foma. I have been making solargraphs for 3 years now :)
Ive heard they can fade over time if left out in ambient light. And some say that using fixer will destroy the image. At least one person says that he has had good results using fixer.

Luciaaaaa! I'm glad that you've enjoyed it! Thank you sosososos much for watching it!

Love your videos.
Thank you so much Eric!
ncie result, it's amazing how resilient they are to ambient light once you take them out :)
Yes! I know! I was quite scared to take out the photographic paper as I'm used to use a changing bag or the darkroom but.. yes! It's completely safe!
