@@NahMagic I suppose, but it's still kind of a cheat. I know transparency can be faked on the C64 (there are some examples in the actual video) so I was eager to see it in the demo. Maybe it's not deliberate clickbait, which I hate.
Very impressive indeed, in particular these rapid changes of the 16 colours to create the illusion that there are additional colours.
C64 is a technological marvel for sure.

The youtube video thumbnail contains images of multiple seperate parts in the demo. The owner of this youtube channel added it seperately.

There appears to be different colors in this demo that are not C64 standard colors.
I see additional purple-like colors?
Sometimes they change colors on alternate frames to make a new color...
