  • Marlon Craft blew everyone out the water with his most recent visit on Sway in the Morning. He makes it clear that white rappers have a responsibility to respect that Hip-Hop is black culture first and that they have to care about the people from it.
While in-studio, he opens up about his relationship with his family and the realities of "being broke."

I heard Tony Touch slide "Do The Work" in a mix. I gotta ticket Shazamming while driving home on the 405... I'll be 47 years old next week. Pops was a jazz musician, moms sang with ATL Philharmonic. I've been around music since birth and a hip hop head since 1983 and I STILL listen to everything. Old, new, mainstream, underground, etc. I will most DEFINITELY support your art. Your passion will materialize to more than what you've dreamed and the world will soon recognize. GO, DON'T WAIVER, STAY DAILED IN. YOU ARE SPECIAL! N' I'm out!!!

This kid has been nice for a minute. He was freestyling in his bedroom, dropping shit better than what most people were putting out with finished studio projects. He graciously walks a line that few can.....he doesn't come off as pandering, patronizing, or as suffering from White guilt. He doesn't have a cosign because of who he knows. He is where he is because he's genuine and has genuine ability.

He got that 96'Jay flow, (Highest compliment btw) which means he can probably rhyme over anything. And you can tell it's authentic; slick-talkin' New Yorker who can paint a picture and DEFinitely is thoughtful about what goes from mind, to pen, to pad. I initially skipped past this recommend, sure am glad I came back to it! Just food for thought for the Future; let's get a full album with live instruments. 😯

Im a big fan of Marlon, and I believe gang shit is a lot deeper than just being along cultural lines. Media and society perpetuate ideas (a lot of bad ones) that really aren’t issues, and people grow up believing they are downtrodden or benefitted from their many things when sometimes that isn’t the case. Its a mindset. Keep up the work Marlon and collab with more of the beast coast!

@@meganklobchar7014 like, I have to wonder what Jamars excuse could be. Besides just "he's white". He's about as New York as they come...lyrically insane. A student of the culture. Respects the forefathers of hip hop. What could he possibly say negative about him? 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️😂
