Awesome CBR650R! I have one in black I got last year it is a great bike. I not changed my exhaust as my 650 is loud enough for me. I will be getting the oem quickshifter & heated grips as upgrades. In future I also plan to put the bronze wheels on from the CB650R on my bike for a different look as the CBR wheels blend in with the black fairings.
Can highly recommend the quickshifter, it’s really fun going through the gears. Totally agree with the bronze wheels, I was thinking of painting mine either bronze or gold like the cbr1000r
@@F00NZ Yeah I look forward to keeping the throttle open & kicking it up into each gear & only use the clutch on downshifts. I got the quickshifter, just waiting on the heated grips to arrive then getting both installed on my 650. Oh nice, Yeah bronze or gold wheels will really change the look of your 650. When I get the bronze wheels, I will then have my black wheels as spares. Also my favourite rev range to sit on is 7,000 rpm. These sound so great in the mid rev range.
Can you put a full system on the restricted bike without ecu flash? I know you need one once you open it up to full power but I don’t know it it’s necessary for the restricted version🤷♂️

I would love to but unfortunately I threw the db killer in the bin :D I highly recommend going sc project just because of the build quality and customer service they provide.

I'm thinking about starting as a first bike with the cbr500r and then after getting experience, skills and more confident riding I'm looking to trade and upgrade to this one... From 2 cylinder learning to 4 cylinder dream.
the 500 is a perfect bike for someone just starting out its light and agile. In my opinion I think the CBR650R/CB650R is one of the best all round bikes. Its Comfortable enough to daily and take on the highway aswell as being sporty enough to handle track days and spirited riding.

Hey mate congrats on the new bike you made a good choice getting the cbr650r. Unfortunately you can only order from their site and there might be some delay. I had to wait 4 months before receiving mine but other than that I am extremely happy with the sound, look and the quality of the exhaust

I personally like the SC1-R more, I never actually heard what the db killer sounds like but its very easy to remove/install just a 5mm hex bolt then a spot weld. The sound is loud but its not too loud has some nice pops to it aswell.
@@user-fi4id6hv7j Yes but before you install it remove the db killer so its easier, I removed the bolt then placed a larger screwdriver through the back and tapped it out with a hammer :)
On how much kw is restricted? I have restricted version(with akrapo) i went uphill almost draged a knee in 5th gear 110km/h and still had a power. Or you have some very steep hills?
@@F00NZ ah ok yeah i got mine derestricted couple weeks ago and it flies in a straight line but i want to get better at cornering going to my first trackday this saturday see how it goes.
Just an Allen bolt that holds in the silencer then pull it out, I recommend taking the silencer out before you install the exhaust. Sounds amazing you won’t be disappointed

where are you located? theres pleanty around my area. only issue is that most are selling used for same price as dealer even with a few thousand ks on them.
Because this is the last model with 4 cylinders at 650cc. I think Honda might discontinue manufacturing this model soon replacing the engine with 2 cylinder one
Is this really the restricted LAMS version mate? As I understood, the restricted version tops up at 6000 rpm but you're pushing yours way above that. The unrestricted version (which doesn't come to Australia) comes to life above 6000 rpm. Cheers.
Definitely restricted, top end you can tell it’s got more left in it. Also recently de restricted the bike went from 40hp to 90hp. Feels like a rocket ship now
@@F00NZ I must admit, I'm impressed with the derestricted version ...and with your exhaust, sounds awesome! How did you derestrict it? Increasing the intake airflow and delimiting the throttle is the easy part. I'm guessing you've had to remap the computer too... Ride safe! Cheers.
@@pukavita thanks mate :) There is an airflow restriction in the air box that’s easy to remove then you just need your ecu reflashed and it’s all done! Hopefully I can take the GoPro out on the next track day. Stay tuned!

Hey mate it’s an SC1-R with the db killer removed and no engine lights :), I do have it flash turned (not in this video) and had no issues :)

At the time I was running Pirelli Rosso 3’s but just changed to Michelin power gp

40kmph over the limit is loss of licence for 6 months
In victoria is 25kph over 6 months loss of license, 40kph over is impound and i think 12 months loss of license
