Figuring Out A Dirac Live Bass Management DLBM Plan | Day 1

- WARNING: LONG VIDEO ALERT lol THIS IS NOT A TUTORIAL. I will have a full Dirac Live walkthrough LATER. This is me walking through my thought process and trying different things to get around the fact that Dirac live is NOT meant to work with transducers. If they would simply give us a sub output channel that you can opt to NOT be managed, everything would be perfect. But they don't, so I'm trying to make what I want, work. I want 100% dirac control of both subs, independently + transducers. The alternative is to do what I had been doing in the past, just using a MiniDSP as a splitter, feeding it one signal and having the MiniDSP do all the bass management correction. That defeats some of the purpose of having Dirac so I want to avoid that.

You're better then me. I would send it back, unless they figure out the bugs. I'm a Cisco Voice Engineer and these types of issue(s) P me off lol. It's inexcusable at that price point. Great video by the way. 💪
I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who has experienced those same network issues with this same exact tv, super annoying having your wired network jammed up until you reboot the tv. Took me a while to figure out it was the tv causing the problem, I thought I needed a new switch at first.
same here, I even switched it out and ran some new cables during troubleshooting.
Light dimming stickers would be great. I always ended up putting gaffer tape over the really annoying bright lights.
Same here - now they completely blend in with the device
If u want to pass signal that is not corrected by dirac pull the curtain over in the software anything below the curtain will not be effected by dirac and will pass it along
Lol uh yeah and then your subs are screwed. You missed the point. Dirac said they will be adding a transducer output option soon.

U didn't have the corrected curve checked that's why u didn't see the predicted results down at the bottom on the right top box
Hi , i m Miguel from Portugal and love your channel. Did you have day 2 of this video ??? Did you figured out this ? I also have sdp 55 with 2 subs on xlr ( 13/14) .. and i would like to connect a buttkicker lfe ( on sub channel) , or maybe y split cable on one of the subs xlr out, 13 example, and connect the y cable to sub and other to a dsp external?.. best regards from Portugal.
I think the firmware on the 55 is 100% better now.

There isn’t much point. There are too many variables and opinions, too many things a video can’t account for. Storm audio has a good one covering the basics.
