So glad that we got the clocks to go back an hour now as we're starting to now countdown to Christmas. You may as well just leave the lights on the clocks until we ring in 2022. Inspired by you, I did my 1st DST video for my channel. I also mention that my grandfather clock cannot be turned back. The manual says that it can't be turned back.
I start early in the week, resetting clocks in different rooms, keeping two or three till that Saturday when we lose an hour time. I have the same spiegel 31 day schoolhouse clock I have that one almost 15 years. Keeps good time and chimes ok.
It was little hard to change one of my battery operated clocks because it chimes every 15 minutes and it can get messed up, but the good news is that it is fixable so as of now, it’s running good 👍
I heard it’s never a good idea to move the mechanical clocks back. You should move it forward, and let it chime every quarter hour until you are on the right time.
The clocks with the Hermle movements are indeed safe to turn back. The movements have a self-correcting feature which syncs the chimes when you move the hands back.
I have a Seth Thomas Legacy from 1984, and it has it’s original Seth Thomas Legacy movement. Had to get the clock fix 2 times because the winding spring broke a couple times. But I sure do wish it had a that kind of movement.
1:48 I wonder who that was that taught you that...
Hmmm... I wonder...

I'm too lazy to take the lights down haha.
What do you mean by that?
The Christmas lights are still up. I haven’t taken them down yet
@@ogClockTV Ohhhh Ok
If you turn back the clocks, they will be chime on time? I didn't do that to avoid any trouble with it
The Westminster chime ones won’t get off track with their chimes. They have a self correcting feature in the mechanism.

Where is the Howard Miller 612-437?
It's at a friend's house now since they needed a clock.
Do you know when you going to fix OG clock? I know it need a lot's of work too it but I think you can buy space movement on ebay for fair price
The big ogee or the small one?
@@ogClockTV Big one 👍
I’m getting quite close to successfully repairing it. It only runs for about 15 minutes and stops. But that’s longer than it used to run.
@@ogClockTV that good at least is going right way now

Glad you got it fixed!
Did you mix up a few of the clips
Why didn't you change the HOMEDICS?
I love the Canadian triple chime, and the Howard Miller Worthington
7:49 Why did you replace the hands on that one?
The movement was replaced.
Good video 👍
I'm sorry, why is the clock playing?
I changed one of my analog clocks and it's battery went out 10 minutes later
That's weird.
I change the clocks too!
Cool.
8:12 I really like that clock. Do you remember where you got it? Or did someone give it to you?

Clocks with rack And snail striking are fine to turn Back, not clocks with countwheel striking tho
Epic video! 👍

Just the one that have count wheel striking system can not be pushed backwards

Yep. Wanted to get this released ASAP.
@@ogClockTV Lol ONE OF MY CLOCKS WAS NOT MOVED TIME SO I WAS TO FAST
11:30 Did you forget that if you turn it back, it could mess up the chime sequence?
The chime is broken on that one. So it doesn’t mess up anything.
@@ogClockTVO...kay.
I like the howard miller regulator and Worthington BEST🎉
You shouldn't move clock hands backward. Always forward.
False. All quartz clocks can be turned backwards. Some mechanical ones can be turned backward as well.
I never turn my hands anyway because it broke one of my clocks and it doesn’t always work
I like the HOWARD MILLER WORTHINGTON.
Guys it’s ok to turn Westminster chime clocks back usually
