This is GREAT footage and a great share. That said: In addition to whistles - in the UK (NOT Los Angeles) they even used compressed air horns. So - weather U like the whistles or not - it was a period THING. Take it or leave it - this is still amazing footage from a time nobody had a video capturing device in their pockets - let alone, not everyone owned a video camera - and if they did they would rarely want to bring one into the rave - for several reasons. I appreciate this vintage footage - thanks so much!!! I was there since the late 80s and there's only so much "evidence" of the L.A. scene in the 90s.
The fashion for the whole rave scene has CHANGED A LOT! No one wears layers like they did. Nowadays, it's only what you're not wearing that gets you into raves.
Hey! I remember this gig. I opened the room just before dave went on. I remember no one was there and I walked up, clicked on the setup and threw on a K.N.O.R. record. We were lucky to get to play before the rain started.
This is like when an army of ants gathers around its enemy and all of them simultaneously start to vibrate at a high frequency, causing the enemy bug inside to heat up so much that it cooks to death.
Yeah the kids will say "Look at my parents partying with positive vibes!" 🙂👍❤ FAST FORWARD to 2020. "Hey kids, look at Mom & Dad burning down buildings, beating people up & looting." 👎
@@Gen-X-Rising No, what I mean is that what "Future Moms & Dads" might be doing in 2020 and looking back on in the future look way worse, negative & violent than Raver Moms & Dads did in the 90"s.
@@Jason_Van_Stone This was 6 years ago that I posted. This event was held in Pomona, in back of the Fox theater. It was raining on and off. Yes the hardcore area was closed. Not sure if it was because it was too rowdy or due to rain? It might of been around 1997.
@@WestCoastFront nice. Yeah I don't recall this certain party, but went to "Voltron", at the Glasshouse in 97'....Delta 9, Tron, Eric L., R.A.W., Paulina Taylor.

Mine was D9 - Unkind Mind Grind
Missed these days ... Best raves/parties and music ever
WOW brings back a ton of memories. Chick standing by the speakers in blue beanie looks so familiar. I miss these parties
Yeah....she looks familiar because she looks like 99% of the other chicks at undergrounds back then.
I was there. The last time I saw Delta-9 at a party.
This makes me SO very happy.
