I’ve enjoyed this so much: your reading was so soothing I found myself relaxed even as you spoke of hell. Once again, remarkable analysis. The ecological danger is a very relevant one, and also our action or inaction towards it. To a certain degree, we create our own heaven or contribute to bring hell. When I read the Inferno it amazed me how many times Dante seemed to feel mercy for those trapped in it, specially in the gusts of howling wind of the second circle. It was a highly subjective point of view, as he placed his enemies there, but a valuable one, since it shows us how Islam was regarded, and also how they perceived the past, Saladin and Julius Caesar sharing space in limbo showing us that even pagans could be admired to a certain degree. I don’t think I could reach heaven, to be honest! However, I will let you guess what circle of hell or terrace of purgatory I belong to. Since you’re interested in the Divine Comedy, I would advise you to search the Palacio Barolo, a building created as an homage to Dante’s creation with an incredible amount of references. I would love hearing you read the cantos! Finally, I’m grateful you shared a bit about yourself as you spoke. It’s hard for me to imagine your wrathful side, since melancholy and anger are almost direct opposites and you seem so sweet. Also, I was sad to hear you were feeling as if you were in a dark forest. I know how oppressive and challenging those moments can feel, and I hope you can find the path to leave the forest behind, or that you see the branches bloom. In fact, it was impossible not to remind a quote by Nietzsche as you said that: “I am a forest and a night of dark trees; but he who is not afraid of my darkness, will find banks of roses under my cypresses”. So I hope you find the roses soon. PS: I was doubting to say this, but you’ve got a magnificent style! You play with bold patterns and contrasts in a very tasteful way. It seems fortune truly favors the bold…
Thank you very much for introducing us to Dante's masterpiece of the Middle Ages. I myself did not get beyond his “Hell” and know how complex his language and thinking are to really understand. You helped me incredibly to better understand and in such a pleasant way! Realize that you are a light for us (although you yourself think you are wandering in a dark forest), a shining guide on so many wondrous journeys. Also looking forward to your journey into space and afterlife You certainly belong in Venus paradise, Jessa. If only all people were like you..
Hi Jessa! Really loved your video about Popol Vuh and I must say, I'm really a fan of your soft-spokenness and just the general calmness. I have tried to to the Popol Vuh so many times, but every time I fall asleep after the 10 minute mark! It's surprising considering not a lot of asmr videos have been able to do that to me. You and your voice have a lot of calming power in general, and this is me, saying as someone with chronic illnesses and anxiety disorder and PTSD. I'm not really into the tippy tapping and etc that are trademark-ASMR: nothing to do with you, I can't stand when anyone makes those sounds, virtual or IRL. So, just 2 requests. Please make more whisper or soft spoken videos, and also, just mark the videos that are purely talking clearly so that I can watch them instead of accidentally thinking this will just be a reading. Don't mean to be rude, really like your voice. Thanks in advance :)
Another sleepy gem! What happened to your gardening video? I miss hearing that bottle swish around and the shrubbery being cut! It was my favorite to fall asleep to; took about 5 minutes to nod off to dreamy dreams.
@JessaLynnASMR yeaaaaaaah it's back!! You should do one walking on a nice fall trail and get some boots crunching some leaves and maybe walking over a stream or 11. These books ones with the turning of the pages and those talon fingernails just a tap tap tapping away are really good too! As someone with very complex sleep problems, ASMR has been a godsend. H e double hockey sticks, I fall asleep to folks folding towels now.
I partly read that paradigmatic book so many, many years ago and should maybe refresh my experience... By the way: Actually, I don't like acrylic nails at all 😂, sorry - but you're wearing them with such grace and dignity, that I almost enjoy it...
I think it's fantastic. I had a hard time getting into it the first time, but somewhere around 70 pages in I suddenly realized what the author was doing, so I started it over. Now it's one of my favorite novels.
books should be written in. it's literally the way that philosophy was done for ages. ever heard of a gloss? Do you not take notes in your own books? do you not underline things you want to remember? you must live your book.
She owns this book so she can even burn it or rip it, if she wishes to. But she actually studies, analyses it and explains it to us. Why do you have a problem with people using their own books for education in the most efficient way to them, if these books aren't yours?
Iam. Definitely melancholic so whith your anger I'll see. You in level 5 that. Will. Be an experience you shouting. At me. While. Iam basically daydreaming
The handmovements and nails are so mesmerising and calming! I love

Gladly! The hurricane, Dracula, and Afghanistan videos are all in the soft spoken lecture style - the next one will also be soft spoken!

Hi Jessa, thanks for sending us all straight to inferno with the view from this angle!
Is that Kristin Lavransdatter I spy?
It is…should I read it? Haven’t yet

What in the fuck are you talking about 😂
Yes there is and her name is Kamala Harris
😅😅😅
Imagine that you have a real disease out here. You're fucking retarded and I hope you never procreate 😅
Since when Kamala is 'he'?
Came for the view, got some enlightenment by accident that’s clever of you!
