I'm resurrecting this comment of 9 years to vehemently agree. There's something damn near perfect about the job the artists did resurrecting this theme from the simple yet legendary origins of the NES, I never played the WII version but god damn this is CRISP and not overembellished or reimagined it just sounds correct as if it was always *MEANT* to sound this way.
Alright, Mac! Let's get yourself ready for the next match! Come on Mac, Come on! Faster, faster Mac, Faster! You can do it, Mac! Jab, jab! Strike! Hit it Mac, Hit harder! 97, 98, 99, 100, 101... Keep it up, Mac!
Smash stages now tend to have more than one track that can play on them. I'm guessing for Little Mac's stage, it'll be the training music and this, the main fight theme.
Trevor L. Warlock Punch IS Ganondorf's punch and as for rest... I'm not sure. It doesn't strike in the same direction as the other attacks, so the hitboxes might not even collide.
I love how they basically fused the old theme with "Eye of the Tiger." Why haven't they made a remaster of this? All they'd need to do is add some more advanced shaders and bump up the polygon counts on the fighters.
This makes me want to do a thousand push ups! Damn! This song is gonna gone down as one of the best nintendo themes ever..... hell, it may even be one the best video game theme of all time!
I love the harmony patterns for the music. It's rare in a video game like this to find music that has proper alternating harmonies, rather than just the main part lowered a few octaves.
Now this is my jam. This was my favorite wii game I ever played as a young kid. I played this game for hours after school and on the weekends. I even got a punching bag for Christmas because of how much I loved Punch Out. I never got to finish it but only got to the second stage on the Japanese guy. I forgot his name but I have tons of memories on this game. I’m thinking about buying it again because I lost the disk...
@@stanstanstan2597 I am so glad you asked 3 years later. About 2 years ago ago I grinded on that game as nostalgia hit me. The hardest guy was bald bull when you face him a 2nd time. This is just a scenario that came up in my head while listening to this song. Everyone is there at the gate, waiting for the doors to open, to fight for their glory. Mario, Link, Pac-Man... they’re all there, each one betting who would win in a melee fight in the new smash game. The time is almost up. The gates are about to open up when all of a sudden, a sound is heard in the back of the waiting room they’re all in. Everyone wondering who’s late to the party. Everyone sees Mac go through the door. Some people that haven’t gone up against him laugh at his size. Mac gives them a cold stare, and the gates open. It’s him against Bowser. The arena is selected, and they are both instantly transported to a familiar place for Mac, but he can’t quite remember where it was from. No matter, Bowser is waiting, and he’s ready. Little Mac steps up to the arena, his coach giving him a quick, “Go get em mac,” look and he gets into position. Bowser starts to laugh once again at the size of the boxer. However, the music theme starts, and Mac remembers it now, where the arena is from. All of a sudden, Mac gets a ⭐️ and bowser is already halfway across the map by the time Mac uses it. It’s gonna be a good fight.
Imagine this. You turn on your wii and are about to play some punch out when the wii says unable to read disk. You look at your disk and realise that it has some scratches on it. You cry because punch out is gone your 9 year old self will never play punch out again.
I would spend a million dollars to hear this in an actual boxing match
I'll make sure to record the Tyson v. J.Paul fight and edit the music over it lmao
@@saucy756make sure to make it the nes version

It's called Minor Circuit in Smash 4.
Home Run Bat, a Star Punch, a Falcon Punch, and a Ganondorf punch, collide...say your prayers
I can't believe the Falcon Punch is no longer the best move in the game thanks to Little Mac.
Dededes hammer?
Littlepip What about rest or warlock punch?
Trevor L. or super jump punch or green missile misfire.
Trevor L. Warlock Punch IS Ganondorf's punch and as for rest... I'm not sure. It doesn't strike in the same direction as the other attacks, so the hitboxes might not even collide.
