Agree, IPAs are disgusting yet the only people I see drinking them are white guys between 25-45. And they'll always talk about micro breweries and so on. Shortly after that phase comes the Bourbon phase.
As someone who personally HATES the taste of beer any beer don't mind cider if it's quite fruit strong though I wonder that about beer, about lager, ale all of that sort of drink! I guess it probably DOES taste nice to a lot of people but I do wonder if some of them only pretend to like the taste at first.

If someone disputes this, ask them if they'd drink their alcoholic beverage of choice if it didn't contain any alcohol. That'll give you your answer. As a white guy in my thirties that lives in Colorado, this hurts lol. I'm not this bad but a lot hits pretty spot on and I have a friend who this is pretty much exactly, right down to the growlers and Subaru lol I'm dying haha this is great

I'm the asshole Gen X'er who started drinking craft/home brewed IPA's (also whiskey) in college back in the the early 90's & going to beer fests in NY. I always feel compelled to have a taste of each brew on tap, when I go to a bar to this day, and tell my tale (like I'm doing right now), to distinguish myself from "these" folks. I'm equally as douchey & cringy but... 48 & and want to be a pioneer!!!

I remember drinking Coors Light back in university and some douche was giving me a hard time because he thought everyone should be drinking Sleeman's Honey Lager.
Invariably tastes like fine vintage alka seltzer, furiously craft-filtered through a pair of repurposed dumpster salt-crocs and then lightly spritzed with eau de limon. I eagerly await the first honestly named IPA brewery- "Cluelessly Snide Brewery and Lumberjack Avocado Toast LLC". The proper reaction to seeing someone imbibing this swill is to point and laugh, which is why Trey is doing just that.

In my 20s I was a proud stout, brown ale, red ale (the lightest one could go) drinker. I tried my first IPA shortly after I bought my first Subaru. Now I am just a 30 something Subaru driver who complains about the local craft beer section only having IPAs knowing full well I am going to happily take my 3 tall boy cans of 2 IPAs and some stout I pretend I am going to drink but I later just pour for my husband. I feel called out...but also seen.
Unfortunately I picked brewing as a profession, but, this video is hilarious. I shit you not, a guy came in one day, pretty sure he had the same clothes on, and said "give me the haziest beer you have." I only make tradition ales and lager, so it tickled me pink to give him a hefeweizen and watch him cringe.
God, I hope traditional ales and lagers are the new "fad". I'm so over-indiscernible haze bombs. How we got from Heady Topper and Orange Julius to whatever every local brewery is poorly attempting is beyond me.

This is absolutely the truth. We like to joke around and talk about what malty style we wish we were making that day. We just finished up a "Cold Hazy" my eyes almost roll out of my head each time I look at the cans.

Lol definitely me in my early 20s, but as a craft brewer myself I can tell ya the only thing we want to make and drink is a tasty pilsner.
This is absolutely the truth. We like to joke around and talk about what malty style we wish we were making that day. We just finished up a "Cold Hazy" my eyes almost roll out of my head each time I look at the cans.

I rarely drink alcohol …. but when I do, it’s an IPA.
My progression went: ONLY Heineken for years ….to Newcastle and Brown Ale’s …. to Stone 😋🤤
Now everything else literally tastes like water, and I’m not going to waste one of my 2-3 drinks per year on some lame ass, watered down children’s beverage 🙃😆
I think Newcastle Brown Ale is now like one of the worst that has colouring in it. Think its owned by Heineken and they are known for poor quality.

My wife introduced me to IPA's when we were dating, at first I thought it smelled and tasted like a Christmas tree or some other pine tree. But then I tasted some more by other makers and they are amazing
