I can’t remember how many nights this song has pulled me through. Tears dripping down my face wondering if the next day would be better. Tash you are an amazingly beautiful soul. Thank you.
Her technical understanding of Music as a whole is just sensational and breathtaking . From her voice to her guitar playing to the beats and foot pedal management, it’s like she’s bewitchingly manipulating the notes and beats to swear allegiance to her. And just to have a cherry on top, she has the talent and skillset to juggle all of this at once, it’s simply phenomenal!
I don't know how many times I've listen to this song but it's way over a hundred. She's gotten me through tough times also! Whoever you are, your amazing!
I hear the birds When they're singing I hear the sirens when they're ringing But I can't take my mind off of you A thousand words, pouring out The distance of over there Is moving on and out You said it, you said it'd be alright How 'bout these notions Hmm, they're deep as ocean Calling out my name Screaming out in vain Singing hallelujah Tell your mother, she don't understand Tell your mother, she's not listening Why don't you tear my heart The chain is made of string I roll the dice You seal the deal That don't matter 'Cause this pain will heal I will follow you Into the dark How 'bout these notions Hmm, they're deep as ocean Calling out my name Screaming out in vain Singing hallelujah These notions Hmm, they're deep as ocean Calling out my name Screaming out in vain Singing hallelujah Singing hallelujah to you Calling out my name I'm in the deep end, ocean Calling out my name Singing hallelujah to you
Unreal to see the progression. I used to sit on the steps of H&M on bourke st Melbourne watching you play. Since then, I’ve moved back to Scotland and seen you twice in London and Glasgow. Two nights of my life I’ll never forget ❤️❤️
Same on bourke street mall in front of David Jones back in 2013ish ! I even got a Cd at the time and the graphic of the jacket inspired me to get my first tattoo! Since then I have a story with Tash, at least in my head :D !
My teacher played this video for a presentation and I absolutely fell in love with the fact that you do all this on your own your voice is so Angelic and I love it
I reconnected with my first wife recently. We are both music enthusiasts. She remembered who passionate i used to be with my guitar. She asked if i had heard of tash. And said look her up and listen to notion. I have no words. She is beyond anything i expected or even thought of. She touched me with one song. John Butler and Andy McKee were the only ones to do that, until tash. Keep the spark, you are someone i have never seen before.
Anybody else just listen to tash nowadays and just feel super proud? Like, I remember the first time I stumbled across the bedroom recording of jungle and now we have terra firma. It feels like we’ve all been on a journey together
when you are heartbroken and you listen her music takes you deep to a place of acceptance, her music takes me to a place were you know is dark but somehow gives you peace, taking day by day, it feels hope, thank you for your music.
This song breaks my heart every time I listen to it, last march I lost my partner and in September our little girl died from leukemia, life just isn't worth it anymore, while this song opens my soul and brings me peace it also kills me a little more each day. I love you Megan and Fraya, I always will 😔
Funny, I somehow just knew, on instinct, that Tash sang, played the guitar, and wrote the music. Her music just transcends, from her soul into ours! True artistry, first time I ever heard this song, I just felt that connection, and how it reached out to me when I needed to feel the magic again. Tash Sultana is nothing short of magic, and when people tell me that magic is not real, I’ll just gesture to the skies and the sea, for the universe is magic incarnate. And artists like Tash who reach out to touch the soul, reminding us that the magic is real ❤
This woman beats all main stream crap that's played in the UK. People are just looking in the wrong direction. There's actual raw talent here and real skill
Saw this live in Christchurch (14/1/2023).. you told everyone before you started playing this that if they had weed they should smoke it now, and I can see why.. was such a beautiful song to listen to, literally brought a grown man to tears 😭😅

In the vibrant tapestry of contemporary music, few threads shine as brightly and uniquely as that of Tash Sultana. Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, this musical prodigy has captured the hearts and ears of millions around the world with a sound that transcends genre boundaries and defies easy categorization. Tash Sultana is not just a musician; they are a one-person band, a master of multiple instruments, and a performer whose live shows are nothing short of mesmerizing. With a career that skyrocketed from busking on the streets to headlining international festivals, Tash Sultana's journey is a testament to the power of passion, perseverance, and raw talent. A Musical Journey Began Early Born Natasha Sultana on June 15, 1995, Tash's love for music was evident from a very young age. By the time they were three, they had already picked up their first guitar, setting the stage for a lifelong relationship with music. Growing up in a household that encouraged creativity, Tash explored various instruments, gradually mastering over a dozen, including the guitar, trumpet, drums, piano, bass, and even the pan flute. This multifaceted talent allowed Tash to create a sound that is rich, layered, and deeply personal. Tash's teenage years, however, were not without struggle. Battling mental health issues and substance abuse, they turned to music as a form of therapy and self-expression. The guitar, in particular, became a refuge, and it was during this period of introspection and healing that Tash's signature style began to emerge. A blend of psychedelic rock, reggae, blues, and electronica, their music is an auditory journey that reflects the highs and lows of their personal experiences. The Breakthrough: From the Streets to the World Stage Tash's big break came in 2016 with the release of their hit single "Jungle." The song, a powerful testament to their loop-pedal wizardry and soulful voice, quickly went viral, amassing millions of views on TH-cam. What made "Jungle" stand out was not just its infectious rhythm and haunting melody, but the way Tash performed it-alone, surrounded by a labyrinth of instruments and pedals, layering sounds in real-time to create a full-band experience. This innovative approach to music-making became Tash's trademark, setting them apart in an industry often dominated by traditional band setups. Following the success of "Jungle," Tash released the Notion EP, further solidifying their place in the global music scene. The EP was a sonic exploration, with tracks like "Notion" and "Gemini" showcasing their ability to seamlessly blend genres and create an atmosphere that is both intimate and expansive. Tash's music resonated with a wide audience, earning them a dedicated fanbase and critical acclaim. The Debut Album: Flow State In 2018, Tash Sultana released their highly anticipated debut album, Flow State. The album was a culmination of years of hard work and artistic growth, and it did not disappoint. From the ethereal "Mystik" to the anthemic "Salvation," the album takes listeners on a journey through Tash's inner world, exploring themes of love, loss, and self-discovery. One of the standout tracks on the album, "Pink Moon," is a prime example of Tash's ability to create an atmosphere that is both otherworldly and grounded in raw emotion. The song's intricate guitar work, layered with Tash's haunting vocals, creates a soundscape that is both meditative and exhilarating. Flow State was met with widespread acclaim, earning Tash numerous awards and further establishing them as one of the most innovative artists of their generation. A Live Experience Like No Other While Tash's recordings are undeniably powerful, it is in the live setting that their talent truly shines. A Tash Sultana concert is more than just a musical performance; it is an experience, a journey through sound that leaves audiences spellbound. Tash's live shows are a testament to their skill as a multi-instrumentalist and a master of live looping. Each performance is a unique experience, with Tash improvising and reinterpreting their songs on the spot, creating a connection with the audience that is both electric and intimate. What sets Tash apart as a live performer is not just their technical prowess, but their ability to pour their entire being into the music. Watching Tash on stage, one can feel the passion and emotion that drives their performance. It's no wonder that Tash has become a sought-after act at festivals around the world, including Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Montreux Jazz Festival. The world eagerly awaits the next chapter in the remarkable story of Tash Sultana, knowing that whatever comes next will be nothing short of extraordinary. WWW.CANDIANO.COM
I was dying. Literally dying. Was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor and accepted my fate. So i decided to actually cherish whatever time I had left. Your music was a big part of my soundtrack. This was two years ago. Today, there are no signs of anything. I am cured. I am alive. And deep inside I know your music, somehow, helped. Always remember. Cherish life. Life is precious.
Well I hope all gets through all the days God gives us. This is heaven and even with the ups and downs life is short and we should be so grateful when we can to the best of our collective ability. Believe me do not stop fighting with a smile while you live and breath , life on this planet❤
Discovered her yesterday when chilling with my best mate while smoking. I have never been in my entire life so much drawn into the moment, and never felt such an intense and soulfull connection to music... wow
I love it when she switches shit up every time she sings live...it keeps me on my toes..I never know how she's gonna play it, and I fucken love that about Tash. True artist. 🤘🤙☮️🔥
Tash, this is what the world needs right now. People coming together and feeling your music. We need healing and music can heal us all. You’re amazing. Patiently waiting for a California date. 👏🏻
What a genius tash has touched every emotion in the past two years of listening to her. No other artist like her these days in my opinion her classics still hit making me cry.
My fiance of 3 years lost her mother a few weeks ago... the pain I see her in for losing her best friend has been very hard. she is an only child they were very close ...I watch her die when she heard the news I watch as all the love left her world including anything she felt for me ....it was visual and I'm struggling to understand where I go from here... she left yesterday with many of her things with her while i was at work and i came back to what once felt like a home became an empty house in an instant...found the note... i feel broken and thanks for the music it's helping me feel and that's about the only thing I think I need to do right now I hope everyone holds their wife/ husband/ partner a little closer tonight knowing some of us would want nothing more to be able to just hold them and help them through this process ...I fear the worst.....but hold out a fools hope ... but hope none the less.... we never know what tomorrow may have for us ...
Give her her space she needs her time alone just be there for her, i know your pain my wife of 15 years been together 18, recently told me her love change towards me, my heart is broken, the first three days was the worst, feel the pain and process it, then pull your self out, go for a walk, and enjoy your own company, dont give everything to some one else keep some of the love for you, and if she is going to stay with you both of you will have a pure love to offer to each other, if she ever return you will be a better men. i have learn how to deal with the pain day by day
Can’t believe how far she’s gone! I remember the first time I heard this after listening to similar artists to fkj and I found her. I heard it and somewhere around the middle of the bedroom recording I start to feel my cheeks go up in heat and tears running down, almost sobbing. I just love her. Thanks Tash from Mexico City
Today was the hardest day..months and months in, at the bottom of bottoms..serendipity is as serendipity does. I heard this voice all day and had no idea it was saving me. Well until right now. Really no idea, y'all have no idea
I almost died with this song and when I came back... this song never felt the same. A memory of my own fight, demons, ghosts, hell, trauma, pills, suicide and feeling lonely.
Wow! I can see the music pulse in your veins and it is a pleasure to see you move to your very rhythmic and good sounding music. The whole performance is very smooth, natural and it just comes out of you, it is you, i adore that. The guitar reminds me sometimes Santana, your acting moves while playing music reminds me Prince (GOAT), because so smooth, fine, rhythmic and natural... but i do not tell that you copy them, your are unique, i just tell that it reminds me of. And aren't they good reminders? I think so - it is a big compliment to Tash that i feel reminded of real big and true music stars like them - and you are also one of them. Go on Tash! I am very excited to hear more from your beautiful music!
YOU can reach to a spot in my soul, that most of musicians don't do in this world that we live in. Feel the love Tash. Just keep on doing your own thing. ❤
This last year has been heartbreaking beyond belief. My grandpa and my uncle passed, and someone I was deeply in love with left me. The feeling of loss can be crippling and I have moments of anxiety where I feel as though I'm sinking. The first time I listened to this particular performance was an especially rough day. This made tears stream down my face uncontrollably and every fibre of my being felt a sensation of warmth and love. It's incredible how the melodies take you somewhere else and the frequencies vibrate perfectly with ours when we need it so desperately..
I remember walking through a store and this song playing..i had to stop and listen closely..came home and googled the words..i found this song when i needed it most..thank you
I love how Tash always plays Notion slightly different each time! They go with the flow of the music and never fails to produce something stunningly beautiful!
This song is the definition of nostalgia .. I feel it deep in my heart everytime I listen to this... "Synergy" song also .. these songs reminds me of my study years .. I was a carefree student.. the best years of my life... I have combined these songs with many situations in my life....places,people,feelings.. ah.. I can not explain how I feel ❤️❤️❤️ Tash you're such a divine person!!!
The fact that you can literally make a whole song with all those musical instruments and use your hands AND feet just amazes me. Your passion for music is definitely recognized. I can tell its such an art to you and I just love it. Your beauty and talent is appreciated. Thank you for sharing your art with the world. 🙏🏼🥰🙌🏼

Não me canso de ouvir essa versão dessa música. Esse solo de guitarra é um dos mais lindos que já ouvi. Obrigado Tash Sultana por esse tesouro da música contemporânea. I never get tired of listening to this version of this song. That guitar solo is one of the most beautiful I've ever heard. Thank you Tash Sultana for this treasure trove of contemporary music.
Tash, this is my most favorite version of Notion so far! The roller coaster of emotions it brings is…well, I just can’t even describe it in words. It’s like my soul is cracked wide open. Thank you for blessing us all with your unique and beautiful music and self! ❤
I can’t remember how many nights this song has pulled me through. Tears dripping down my face wondering if the next day would be better. Tash you are an amazingly beautiful soul. Thank you.

Mind blowing 💖
It’s beautiful to see her evolution as an artist, especially with this song throughout the years.
You're right! But I love the bedroom version a little bit more 😊
There has never been a more true statement. That was like re hearing it for the first time all over again. Just incredible
Yes she's wearing shoes now 😆
Her voice is beyond words, like ocean waves
No ripples in sight for miles either......

She sounds alot like Julien Baker here
Their. Tash's pronoun is "they/them/their."

Samesies
I hear the birds
When they're singing
I hear the sirens when they're ringing
But I can't take my mind off of you
A thousand words, pouring out
The distance of over there
Is moving on and out
You said it, you said it'd be alright
How 'bout these notions
Hmm, they're deep as ocean
Calling out my name
Screaming out in vain
Singing hallelujah
Tell your mother, she don't understand
Tell your mother, she's not listening
Why don't you tear my heart
The chain is made of string
I roll the dice
You seal the deal
That don't matter
'Cause this pain will heal
I will follow you
Into the dark
How 'bout these notions
Hmm, they're deep as ocean
Calling out my name
Screaming out in vain
Singing hallelujah
These notions
Hmm, they're deep as ocean
Calling out my name
Screaming out in vain
Singing hallelujah
Singing hallelujah to you
Calling out my name
I'm in the deep end, ocean
Calling out my name
Singing hallelujah to you
GRACIAS!!
Notions of a world which cannot be....

I’m jealous of those listening this song for the first time ❤

Sincere Condoleance Mate, Life is sometime hard. But we always recover.
Give her her space she needs her time alone just be there for her, i know your pain my wife of 15 years been together 18, recently told me her love change towards me, my heart is broken, the first three days was the worst, feel the pain and process it, then pull your self out, go for a walk, and enjoy your own company, dont give everything to some one else keep some of the love for you, and if she is going to stay with you both of you will have a pure love to offer to each other, if she ever return you will be a better men. i have learn how to deal with the pain day by day
This might be the best display of an art I have ever seen, so raw, so natural, and so underrated. Absolutely beautiful ❤️
8:40 this riff is f****** amazing
Tash is God. Bringing us through the gates of heaven with every note in every song
This is worth more than diamond. One of those songs that I ask myself how I have not seen it. This is a master piece. Changed my life
Today was the hardest day..months and months in, at the bottom of bottoms..serendipity is as serendipity does. I heard this voice all day and had no idea it was saving me. Well until right now. Really no idea, y'all have no idea
So beautiful. I have listened to this many times and have shared it with many people
I almost died with this song and when I came back... this song never felt the same. A memory of my own fight, demons, ghosts, hell, trauma, pills, suicide and feeling lonely.
This Woman is a Gift
This is one of the most magical things I have EVER heard.
My heart is bleeding...
So soothing to listen to, gives me chills everytime!
Tolle Frau.. Unbeschreiblich.. Gänsehaut.. Pure Leidenschaft.. Genial 😇
I listen to this on loop ❤❤❤❤❤
YOU can reach to a spot in my soul, that most of musicians don't do in this world that we live in.
Feel the love Tash. Just keep on doing your own thing. ❤
There's an artist @Deza and I feel the same about her. Don't know how it all works but it's amazing when you find a connection.
I remember walking through a store and this song playing..i had to stop and listen closely..came home and googled the words..i found this song when i needed it most..thank you
Can't wait to see her next month
..so excited 😊
Still believe Tash is a portal through which the beauty comes
Amazing ❤ thank you, little goddess of music 🎶
It all started in her bedroom, and the magic emerged since then 🌌⛼🌇
