This is a really good example of why WoW PVP is the best action-based PVP. In my opinion its alot better than any of the new MoBA games that are available because of the fact that there is so much more going on in WoW PVP it's incredibly complicated, each class has 15-25 different moves with different talents to chose from whereas any of the MoBA games are laggy and not pristine and they have about 4-7 moves per hero. Maybe thats just my opinion but if you're a person who enjoys complexity WoW is the only way to go for action-pvp.
Joshua Bottorff WoW's PvP is not going anywhere. You mention how you've got 15-25 moves and that's exactly the problem, the game can't handle itself, it requires you to configure your own macros that's like having to program the game yourself, I don't like having to do those things. I love WoW and all, but when it comes down to PvP, I find myself messed up in all the mechanics. MOBAs on their part, might be less complicated, but it compensate on the mechanics, in WoW, most of the moves are targetable spells while in MOBAs there are alot more Aim-based skills.
I also find that baiting and juking in MOBAs makes more sense than in WoW. In MOBAs missing a spell actually means you didn't hit the target, while in WoW what you do is juke around the terrain to interrupt spell casting, I just find it odd.
WoW PvP ist tab-target. This has nothing to do with action PvP from other games where you dont have to tab target your enemy in order to deal dmg to him. In real action-based games your character deals dmg depending on where he aims, like in Counter Strike. If you play archer, sorcerer or any ranged class in an real action combat game, you will feel like in Counter-Strike, because you have to aim the opponent in order to deal dmg to him.

ok thanks everyone. I boosted a lock to 90 and now 100 lol. Afl has great survivability but don't expect to kill any player, esp if they have any heals. Any heal class can just absorb or heal over any dot dmg.. Thinking it needs a bit of boosting imo..

which headsets are they using?
how do they move around in arena so smoothly while mashing the keys at the same time?
They use the mouse to move, not the keyboard. But anything they do in this video requires a LOT of practice and training, even if it is just sitting on a chair. It took me about 2 or 3 years, maybe 4, to get to the point where I can move like them, and I still sometimes stand still when I could be moving.

im not a pro player, but I dont think the shadow used hymn of hope in that last game, it could have helped his druid catch up. Even 1 tick would be 20% mana increase

Can anyone tell me how much keybindings there would be needed for a resto druid in 3v3s ? i have a mage but i would like to try resto druid .. lvling 1 atm :)
There's a lot of keybindings for anyone wanting to do arenas professionally. It's not as easy, or simple as pick a finger and use only that finger to use spells, you need to use ALL 5 FINGERS each hand (having a WoW gaming mouse is helpful, too) if you wanna play to your full potential. And each finger is assigned to 2-5 buttons at once, so you're looking at easily 20+ keybindings.

I would really enjoy an arena league where all heals are reduced by 50%, or even 75%. Endurance matches put me to sleep pretty quick.

Get a subscription to skill capped.com it's 5 bucks a month and rank 1 players,gladiators, and high rates players give you major tips. My gameplay has improved a ton watching. :D

Why do I never see hpalas play arena now - in the 'new' wow?
I play Holy Paladin in arenas too. I don't do that many arenas and I don't do it enough to get even above 500 rating, (Arenas just aren't my thing) but I think it has to do with the fact that other healers just have more versatility and ability to help out other team mates more efficiently. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my Holy Paladin, but they're just too weak.
There were quite a few hpalas in WotLK and Cata. I believe that the grand finals for 2011 featured hpalas on both teams ^_^

As somebody who hasn't played WoW in YEARS (Since Burning Crusade, in fact), and as somebody who NEVER played arenas - why do they only fight to the first dead team member? I know it would be hard to come back, but it's surely possible, right?
I don't play anymore either and never did PVP, but they are killing the healer of the team, so the match is pretty much over when the healer goes down because there simply isn't enough that the other two can do to kill 3 players who have constant, dedicated heals.
the odds of winning a 2v3 at that level, even at a 2200 level is like winning the lotto. It just flat out will not happen. you rely so much on the other person cc / dmg / heals

It just seems like a system that discourages trades.
For example, if they snipe your cc, but 1.5 seconds later you off their healer, then (in my book) you have the upper hand.
Navel Warfare the only problem with what you said is each of the 3 classes has cc. not just 1, so if you took 1 person out they still have 2 cc classes and if you look they each have 1 healer but also a hybrid that can off heal. In alot of situations a good off healer saves the game. This is why LSD2 is so good. the boomkins heals are amazing and with heart of the wild its 2 healers for 1 minute plus 2 dps, this comp wins late game for sure against anything.

No clue they have massive amounts of disease damage as well as dps in general. And very hard to down if blood and the right heals

Other than the ability to not die, they don't have mobility (like warriors) and can't cc.
La movilidad es un factor determinante en estas arenas, por esto casi no se ven meles en este torneo, en el caso del Warrior la buena supervivencia que tenia en MoP y su Salto Heroico le ayudan mucho para momentos defensivos, lo del Monk DPS si estaba pasado ahora en WoD los bajaron bastante.
For the record, a dk team qualified for regionals going undefeated in the entire bracket, but was disqualified because the dk lived in a state that wasnt allowed to participate

TSG got to the finals in GCD tournament with Cervantes, but LSD with demo was too ridiculous that time.
