Hey guys! Heads up, if some formulas don't work, try interchanging some , with ; and vice versa! I'm aware some of the SUMIFs aren't working. I'll be on the lookout and see if there is a consistent solution
Thank you so much for the easy to understand budget calculator!! I was able to get it to accept the formula when using a ; but once I type numbers in and choose the drop down, it is not registering the percentage or the dollar amount. Have any suggestions?
Jeremy, you just did a tutorial on what I've been looking for to track my own finance. I wanted something simple and not cluttered. Been binge watching your videos. Great tutorials. A new follower here. 🙌
As a teen with one foot barely in the doorway, I've been scrolling for hours and oh my gosh u helped me in like 5 minutes, u cooked with this one brother thank u so much
Honestly this is the best, most straight forward tutorial of a google sheet budget tracker I have ever seen, I'm 40 years old and have spent years trying to figure this out myself or through other videos. I just set my budget tracker up in 10 minutes thanks to you. Thank you so much for this video. I literally just felt weight lifted off of me knowing I can set my budgets up monthly easier and more efficient. Game changer.
YOU HAVE SAVED MY BUTT!!! I was putting FAR too much expenses on my credit card. Now I can manage my money so much better. I'll be one step closer to financial freedom!!
THANK YOU for a simple expense tracker! I get too overwhelmed with many other ones people have created, or all the elements others recommend to include. I feel that this is a fantastic base to build off of, thanks again!
This was the quickest way to create a tracker! I thought this was so hard and its not! And I love how you separated into needs, wants and savings. Thank you so much.
1) Integration of 1 to n subcategories per main category and related evaluation options & Give to add & remove category & subcategory 2) Tracking of fixed vs. variable expenses 3) Also Add payment type add like cash ,credit card,Different bank , Google pay etc also maintained balance 4) Add Taypes menas (income expenses contra etc) Again, thank you so much, I am looking forward for upcoming tutorials
I literally sat here re creating it with you step by step. All the other ones Ive searched for including the old one I used to use were cluttered with too much going on, thank you this was a huge help!
thank you so much for this. for the month of october, i am finally starting to keep track of my expenses and finances. i was orignally looking up templates to download on google sheets or excel but they were all really complicated and extra. THIS!!! literally is so straightforward and what exactly im looking for!!
I have been talking about doing this for some time now. .. especially, now that I have bought my first home. I have tried something similar but it was "meh" and I was not impressed with it BUT now I have found something that will work for me. Thank you, Bro. I appreciate ya. I think this idea and tracker will be more beneficial for me to use and be successful.
Dude, this is also neurodivergent-friendly!!! I have ADHD and it seems like the first budgeting spreadsheet that's simple enough but has everything I need. I might be able to stick with it this time 🥲
THANK YOU!!!!! This is solid tracker and the formulas were fantastic. Would have been cool to see them enlarged for us aging folk, but otherwise PERFECTION!
Thank u so much of making this video i'm from india and I had searching this kind of video from past few days and I had received only excel video's that I don't want it now I had subscribed you ❤❤❤
Thank you I really appreciate this tutorial! however when I set up my percentages in the beginning with the income the 50% totals to $0.00 what could i be doing wrong??
Hi, Jeremy. I just came across on this video and created it right away. But, I got error for the SUMIF formula. Is there any way you could help me? I was following every step & detail on the video. Thanks in advance!
Hey I am actually working on my tracker using this and I’m not understanding why it’s not calculating. I did the same formula it did it for the goals but not the actual could I get some help pleasseeeeee
This is pretty sweet Jeremy! I've been through half a dozen apps - which after a while I gave up! I've been trying to come up with an elaborate sheet where I can track both my businesses and personal finance - but, I end up not knowing how to differentiate or not between business and personal or not! So your simple but to the point sheet, just gave me a really good head start. I like the figures and percentages of each and the only thing I may add are dates within the month so I know when I spent or received income, (I know a bit anal...ha ha...). Thanks a tone dudie..🙂
Hi, thanks for the video, this will definitely give me a better look at my budget. If I want to use some funds from my savings account, do I add that to my Income list?
I know it's been a while since this video was posted but if I could get some help on one of the formulas. When I Put =SUMIF (E:E, "Needs", D:D) it sums that up fine. But if I try to put =SUMIF (E:E, "Wants", D:D) it doesn't do anything even though I have categorized an expense in column E as either "Wants" or "Savings". :(
@@andiwuzlikeBAM Hello, I'm trying to figure out this too. Do you have the formula? I'm trying the add the ; but it doesn't seem to work when adding multiple categories into the same formula.
how do i go about adding the next month? I tried to copy paste the chart below the first one but the total expenses is trying to read the entire spreadsheet all together, instead of just giving me the total for the month beside it, if that makes sense!
What if I want to use multiple categories to sum up into my needs. For example, I want the categories "Food" and "Bills" to equal my "Needs" I'm not fluent in google sheet (or excel) formulas at all, and been trying to solve this issue and either get errors or $0 in my "J" column
I am having a hard time getting the numbers to show on the actual when setting up the needs, wants,…. for the currency part. I followed the video but for some reason I can only get wants to populate numbers. The others stay at 0 when I plug numbers in.
Hello! This video is supper helpful but I'm having a bit of trouble with the SUMIF formula. This is what I used =SUMIF(E:E="Needs"=D:D) Can you please tell me what I did wrong? Thank you!
sorry if this doesn't make sense, but say I want to continue into the other month (upcoming is august) would I just continue adding into the chart or create a new sheet with the same formulas/format?
I think I went over the dropdown on the video! Not sure if you can have subcategories though... you might have to start titling it like "Needs - Food", "Needs - Rent" etc.
So if we get paid every week do we just add it each week into the income Column and every single time we spend money we can add it in the expense column I thjnk this will be really good to see how I’m spending my money throughout the month! That way the following month I can focus on my financial goals a lot better ! Amazing video
Does anyone know if he has a video showing how to add this with a monthly dropdown. That way I just click on the dropdown to view all the data entry per month?
Awesome tutorial, definitely going to start using this. Just one question, is there a way to add dates to this? As in adding dates to income and expenses? Cheers!
I wanted to ask is it possible to add only "Needs" and "wants" for total expenses instead of the whole column? Ive been trying to find answers else where but cannot...
