Unbelievable attention to detail. The back of the shirt, the way it is tailored, coupled to the shoulder detail and draping makes the garment seem as if it's a second skin. The visuals are quite outstanding. Bravo.
Wow. I’ve noticed that you’ve been really getting out of your original comfort zone and it’s been amazing watching as your style has gone from really good to just plain amazing. Every time I watch, you seem more and more bold and comfortable. Absolutely on point and absolutely as comfortable in your suits as most people are in sweats.

I just got one of their Fox Flannel dressing gowns, the fit is exceptional for off the rack. I'm kind of surprised the fit of Kirby's shirt isn't better than what it is.
The shirt is so rich in its esthetic. Still, it holds such an effortless elegance to it. It's killer. Totally in love with it. Thanks for sharing your journey with us.
Kirby and team, while in London I stopped by Budd. I was fitted for a shirt and I purchased two. when I tried one on it was the wrong size. I’ve reached out to Budd and waiting to hear back.
Kirby, Budd are the best, I get a fly front and only have initials in the back of the collar, which can also be done by hand but that is a bit OTT. There are some great cuff options as well. Your collar choice looked fantastic.
Hey Kirby. I know you love your Charvets and Budds, but what about Turnbull and Asser. It’s hands down the most iconic and important of the shirtmakers of Jermyn Street. Fit for a king, literally.
Who makes their fabric , or do they do it their self , what is the thread count ? What cotton do they use ? Is it the finest long staple Giza 45 or 86 ? Is this talked about at all ?

Do you launder most of your shirts at home or send to the cleaners, you didn’t mention if the collar stands on its own or does it have bones to be removed before washing ?
Can you do a piece of dry cleaning and the differences you mention when talking about rave. Dry cleaning seems to be essential for some suits and really want to know why.
That shirt is really sharp!! I think it made the suit look way better than the original shirt he had on in the video. Only thing is something looks a little funk around the arms eye and chest, can’t really describe it. The monogram is interesting, I was surprised how low it on the shirt it was once Kirby had it on! That really the only thing I don’t like about the shirt, otherwise it’s a beautiful shirt! A question Kirby, would it make more sense to invest in shirts first before biting the bullet on a bespoke suit? I feel like you can get away with a really nice shirt and an OTR suit that’s adjusted to fit a little better.
Beautiful shirt…I’ve gotten spoiled, however, by not having physical tags on the bag. I find them to make me itch. It would be cool if they offered tag-free options for the initials/customer number.
For the price they ask, and if they are truly bespoke, one should be able to get whatever one desires. IMHO there is a misuse of the word bespoke throughout retail.
Very nice shirt, but how come your trousers stay up when you remove the braces? I'm currently making a pair of trousers bespoke (cut for braces) and I have presumed that one of the prime reasons for going down that route was that you could have a more comfortable and less tight fit around the waist...
That's a beautiful pin stripe suit Kirby ( from 6:21 on). I hope you don't mind me asking but who was the tailor please? Particularly good length on the coat. From a UK fan. many thanks
I think it should be washed, dried and ironed (per instructions) several times before trying on…it was cut to allow for shrinkage of the fabric…but overall a very nice addition to your collection…
do you think bespoke is the only way to go , at least with regards to shirts? ive seen some good MTM in person that do hand buttons holes , use mother of pearls buttons and fits very well for the 200 usd mark . Id like your thoughts on it
I'm curious why you mostly wear "barrel cuffs?" I only wear them casually. Otherwise, it's cuffed shirts all the way! What else is one to do with a collection of 100 pairs of links?
Not Kirby but, I find cuffed shirts to be a bit impractical especially when at a desk using a computer. They bang against the desk and my wrists too much.
@@sunhuizart3821 Gratefully, I don't work with a computer but I wouldn't feel "properly" dressed in a suit and tie wearing barrel cuffs but that's just me.
i think the shirt fit is decent and can be improved. Perhaps the upper arm can be slimmed a bit, and so too the body. When you went to Budd wearing a white dress shirt, that fit and looked great on you! Also, I noticed a little collar gap to your right, between the jacket and shirt
Nice video Kirby. Looks to be a nice shirt though there is room for shrinkage as mentioned. I also see a number of comments referencing packages and Rave Fabricare. Perhaps another unboxing video of items being returned from Rave is due at least to put minds at ease that's it's a decent amount being sent rather than one or two items.
I'm absolutely shocked that dry cleaning is going on in this establishment, I mean at Kirby Allison!? To go to the expense, travel time and patience to select a fine fabric from one of the famous British shirtmakers and then submit it to the abuse, chemicals and handling by strangers of dry cleaning is incomprehensible! There is nothing more satisfying than a freshly laundered shirt cared for at home and ironed by yourself smelling clean and fresh (never dried in a dryer) and not having been mixed in with the garments of the great unwashed! BTW your pocket square is starting on a dangerous path towards the world of 'origami'! Otherwise, great looking shirt, carry on LOL.
Have you tried merino wool club collar shirt? Cotton is not a good baselayer/innerlayer since it drowns you with sweat not moisture wicking it dry slow compared to wool.
I too received recently my shirt from budds unfortunately it was damaged in transit. Shirt was totally soak an wet. So I contacted budds an they're gonna send me another so I sent the damaged shirt to the cleaners to see if they could bring it back to life for me. Hopefully I can get 2 shirt for the price of 1.
Kirby, If done right, or if you were taught, there is no one that can clean/wash and iron a shirt like yourself. Take pride in it. Plus, if someone asks you about it, you can say "I did it."
With three kids, a business, wife, and youtube channel, ironing my shirts at home is simply impractical. I was for a while committed to hand-pressing all of Nathaniel's Divij shirts for school. I finally gave up after three weeks and started sending them to the dry cleaners (to be laundered)... needless to say, his shirts don't go to Rave, though.
Massive swings in weight is certainly a problem for bespoke. If it is +/- 10-15 lbs, a slightly generous cut should be able to accommodate these swings. It's why I weigh myself every morning now... having trousers cut for braces also makes a huge difference.
I don't mean to be rude, Kirby.... but I see multiple problems just at a quick glance, the sleeves are twisting inward and the collar seem to be just a tad bit to loose. It wouldn't be a big deal if the shirt was cheaper, but it's and English bespoke shirt from a heritage shirt maker, they need to improve the fit.
The sleeves are tough. I need to wear the shirt a but more to form a real opinion on them. I"m very happy with how Darren was able to trim out the excess. The silhouette of the sleeves is very nice. The shirt collar will shrink a bit more with additional washings.
The lines don't even match up on the sleeves at the stitch point. The bottom half is folded in and stitched without aligning the stripes. Expected more from a Bespoke Shirt!
Actually the lines do match up on the sleeves. There’s a strip on the shoulders that match up with the sleeves. The main body of the shirt looks great, but there is definitely something off about the sleeves
I disagree, there are a few issues with the sleeves that need to be addressed. And just because someone doesn’t have bespoke articles doesn’t mean they don’t know what they’re talking about. I have a good understanding of costume construction and can see things that are off.
Not impressed. My shirts have 8 front buttons not your typical 7. Eight provides a slightly longer (taller) shirt and helps keep the shirt looking more "neat" when worn tucked.

Hi Kirby, beautiful fabric and the collar is just wow! I’m about as green as a Texan wildcatter so triggering me on wasteful plastics is not easy. Mate, have a word to your dry cleaner, those “shirt pillows”, I get the principle, but come on. Just, no.
Kirby quit saying “armshole”. It’s “armhole” or “armscye” but no one says arms hole because it sounds insane to have multiple arms for one hole, or for an arm to have possession of a hole.

not at all, because the scale of them are all different. This is the key to sophisticated combining of patterns.
