This young man has it all and always has. What a gift for us who have the opportunity to hear him play. What kind of memory does he have to recall literature instantly? What kind it intellect does he have to be able to form a coherent analysis at the moment? What about his superpowers, his technique, and his musicality? He even looks good, handsome, and fit! Again, he has it all.

I returned to this video clip and put it on loop for auto-replay and the more I listen to it, the more my appreciation for Jan Lisiecki grows. I am simply grateful that the Lord has sent us such a divine pianist to remember that there is always something positive to fall back on and to look forward to when tuning in to the fantastic performance on the piano by Jan Lisiecki when so much negativity mushrooms around the world.

The two were obviously having a great time talking about the genius and musicality of Beethoven, and while at it, they brought tons of sheer joy and bliss to the world because Jan Lisiecki is indeed a bundle of pleasant surprises non-stop. Gotta love that other-worldly pianist!

This is a kind of video I really like. Most of musicians are able to play very good but they are not able to explain it well. Thank you both for making such wonderful programs,

A total cliche for a borrowed paraphrase, but we are blessed to have a young but already quite established concert pianist in Jan Lisiecki as 'God must be missing an angel'. He is more than a professional musician because he is a thinker and a philosopher and music is his preferred tool of communications. It is easy to understand that his winning personality due to his accessibility wins him the world, and the more people get to know him, the better people appreciate classic music through him. He is indeed a gift of God and he is God's grace personified.

I missed something really important in this, but didn't they talk about the second theme of the Second Concerto and then he played the second theme of the first concerto? Please, someone, tell me what I missed here.

How about playing the cadenza first and THEN analyzing it.

This handsome young man is a superb musician---a live-wire who gives music lovers a delightful shock. Indeed, Beethoven had many beautiful ideas; however, he was never quite sure what to do with them---hence the boring repetition.

Nonsense! Beethoven was definitely one of the greatest composers when it came to thematic elaboration and development. You must be tone deaf.
