I think it's been 10 years i come bak to this song when I feel super lonely. I can't say i went and I'm going through difficult stuff because I've never miss of anything. Played this game year after my dad died of cancer, had no idea what this game is about, it has touched me emotioanly like nothing else, it was like my own, personal hell, I was crying so much during the ending when Mary was reading the letter, even today, so many years later, this song feels so sad to me
This game is all about missing people in imaginary city I fell in love with silent hill in 1999 i was 9 years old when i bought it played it with my brother for long time 😢💔

He died from complications to heart surgery, but basically everything was failing. I've felt a lot of survivor's guilt and the game helped me work through it to some degree. Fighting pyramid head with James was like facing my own demons.
Monica's voice acting absolutely destroyed me at the end. The way you can hear her fighting crying herself while reading is just heartbreaking. Never cried from a video game before or after that.

10 years ago I sat in my office, going through youtube after playing SH2 typed in Silent Hill Promise and this beautiful video of these 2 came up, been listening to it ever since.
It's been 7 years since I first saw this, and it remains in my eyes - hands down - one of the best videos on TH-cam. Brings me back to a time where I naïvely believed myself to be truly happy, and everything seemed to be less bleak (and when TH-cam still had a soul). I was 14 when I first got into Silent Hill, and I continued to play it again and again throughout the following years. Many things have changed since that time, some for the better, others for the worse. But I've always felt somehow drawn to that game, as well as to this song (both the original and this cover) like the town of Silent Hill itself. Even though those days of blissful ignorance are long gone, everything connected to this installment has a special place in my heart. Thank you guys for doing this cover, and for still managing to nearly bringing tears to my eyes, even at the ripe old age of 22 :)

This is really the perfect acoustic guitar rendition for Promise and it's beautifully sad how this piece just stands in time until it will one day be deleted and lost, doesn't seem like we'll get a remastered version of this either.
