Lindsay, I really appreciate your reviews. The biggest reason I like them is that you're not reviewing new boxes fresh off the truck, they're usually many years old, and have been through real live service in the field. I really enjoy your channel, I wish I was closer to you so I could buy some tools!
i just purchased one exactly like this one 480 but black on facebook market for $600 . i was looking at a us general but this one used just made more sense way better quality . and more heavy duty not to mention i just got in the trade as a tech2 great starter box for sure
I think that’s a great box. Buying it used is going to give someone a good value buy, but I have too play the contrarian on the four swivel casters. For me having the narrow area to I have to work in, the two fixed caster give me greater control maneuvering the box. With the weight of my cart, it would be like rolling the mop bucket around the shop by the tip of mop handle, full of water and not trying bump into anything.
I agree. I had a cart with 4 swivel casters and then got a bigger one with 2 fixed and it rolled so much easier because you’re not fighting to keep it straight. Maybe if you’re only going between 2 or 3 bays it would be different
US General doesn't have a 6-drawer cart that I know of. I think they only have 4-drawer ones with the open bottom section. Very different cart, so it's not a good comparison.
i just bought this cart this past monday and completely agree with you on the all 4 swivel casters but thats the only real thing i have to say bad about this cart
I can attest to the quality of this cart. I at one point before buying my 3bay 4s had my cart way overloaded past it’s weight capacity and the drawers opened smooth and rolled fine across a 16bay shop. The only gripe I had (and this is subjective) that it’s a little on the small side when you factor in the cost new
That is an excellent question we may never get an answer to. If you're gonna trade something in and expect top dollar, make it look like it deserves top dollar!

I have this same box, its awesome great solid box!!
It's a great unit, and I'm stoked every time I get my hands on one.
It would have been nice if you could have shown how we take the drawers out

Cool review, but don't charge more than $700. Customers can get a brand new US General for that price!

@@CoyleTools they have a full cart like this one now. It looks identical to this one

Solid choice!
Used Matco or new us general both are the same price

It's tried and true for sure!
Why doesn’t anyone wipe their boxes down before selling them! I wipe mine down once a week and it’s not even mine. 🤦♂️
