@@HMM-0 I grew up as a JW & I would bet my house that they did not hire anyone to write this. This is definitely a script written by a JW. My running theory is that the JW that wrote it is gay and he, (trust me they'd never let a woman be involved.) He knew that most every other JW would be too oblivious to notice the gay undertones.

I have had to rub shoulders with JWs because family and it’s a very weird and deceptive lot. Like you go to a congregation and they are the friendliest, most cheerful, welcoming people. But then you actually listen to their extremely sugar coated rhetoric and they begin talking about queers, Jews, climes (yea it’s 12th century in there), and races and then you are like, bro half of us are non white what’s going on, but the brains are washed so clean, nobody objects. yeah in my highschool there were hardly any non-christian kids, just me (jewish), a Muslim girl who wasn't in any of my classes and one of my ex-friends who is JW and oh my. she was so genuinely bigoted and when we learnt about the holocaust and the nakba in history she was so hateful even though her people suffered as well. And she never shut up about how it was unfair that her grandfather got arrested for crimes HE committed during apartheid like GIRL WHAT

I had a similar experience to lucikka3674 where the only non-christian kids in my school were me and this JW girl and when we would have religion class her and I wouldn't take part so we hung out a lot. She was kind but really strange in many subtle ways like she didn't celebrate birthdays and would occasionally try to convert me by giving me JW literature. This was when we were like 10 and I imagine her family was pushing her to do that. That's my only interaction with this cult as they're not very prevalant in my country.

I can just imagine Neeta meeting jades mom to "convert her" and the mom mentioning how one of jades "phases" was dating a girl at school and neeta smiling to herself but jade gets scared that neeta will stop talking to her or get distant because of jw homophobia so she tries to cover it up and panicking and neeta looks disappointed and gets confused why she was disappointed and talking to her mom who reports it to the elders and they excommunicate neeta which is framed as a bad thing but jade leaves for neeta. They end up realizing the excommunication was a good thing because it freed them and let them realize their feelings for eachother. And jade helps neeta get used to normal life and helps her get more comfortable being herself
