when i was in high school back when nobody irl knew i was a furry, i used to draw a lot of furry stuff. one day a (not a close friend but someone i did hang out with in high school a bit) just straight up out of nowhere went "you're a furry aren't you". i was so surprised i just stared in shock (this was back when furries weren't as mainstream as they are now, not everyone even knew about their existance and some that did had the wrong idea). eventually i was just like yeah. and they were like okay, i knew it, and that was the end of it lmao. i was so surprised. he said his dad was a podcaster or radio show host or something that did a special on furries
Yeah my friends found out I was a furry in high-school too haha (2017) it was during lunch, and we had just sat down at the lunch table, and my friend mentioned to me "you know, you know an awful lot about furries" and I just nervously Drank my drink, and I said "yeah, what about it?" And he said "so when are you going to tell us you're one?" And that's when I sighed and asked "how did you find out?" To which he told me about how I followed furry youtubers, and he saw that I had furry games on steam and that I was apart of a furry group on steam. He, and the rest of my friends were not furries themselves, but I was relieved when they told me they didn't care I was a furry. Because furries still had a bit of a bad stigma around them even in 2017 lol. But yeah I just thought this video was a fun idea, of course in the video it's more played out and exaggerated, but I'm sure a lot of furries can relate to their friends/family members finding out lol
