tell me you have a golden child without telling me you have a golden child. Like if you caught one child in a lie but still blame the other, you don't deserve to reconcile with them.
“Why waste the money? All that’s going to happen is you’ll hate the therapist because they will call you out on your bad parenting, and you’ll dump them because you won’t believe them.”
Situations like this are actually very common where one sibling will essentially brainwash the parents into believing that another sibling is the problem child. Once it happens enough time, parents who are stupid enough will start seeing infractions where they don't exist.
No amount of therapy would work because if the therapist told them they crap parents to op and they would say the therapist is terrible. OP should call CPS on them and bring the grandparents, the principal and everyone who saw the abuse op took. The golden child sister would be taken away too. Let's see golden child try that crappy behavior elsewhere.
Family therapy only works if the one in the wrong acknowledges that they were in the wrong. Ops parents don't want to work on the relationship, they want to gaslight op into believing that op is the problem in the family unit. I wouldn't go under those circumstances either
Are you kidding? This is easily one of the more believable stories, especially given how it's pretty damn common for a spoiled golden child to constantly blame their sibling for anything they do wrong.
@@SnowyWolborg Story is too formulaic. Everyone hates OP except 2 grandparents that take OP in after major fight. This is almost cut-and-paste other stories of the same theme. So, it feeds into the narrative of favorite "golden" child insecurities that people have about their childhood. But, come on? This story? Really? I'm surprised it didn't end with "they sold all of my stuff and gave it to my golden child sister, but now their broke and I just won $100 mil in the lottery and refuse to give them any and they had to sell their house and live on the street"...
@@fishnkidneys583I mean it’s not incredibly fake just cause the grandparents believe her and no one else does if u think this is fake then u probably believe nothing is real
@@arjundhaliwal8853 Dude, this is literally the same formula that most of these stories use--favored sibling gets treated unreasonably well while other sibling treated unreasonably bad except for family x that is the only nice person that gives them an unreasonable amount of support. Favored sibling then fails hard or screws parents and OP says AITA for being mad or telling them to screw off. Almost none of these are real anymore... That's why they all sound the same...

Nta. It took me till I was 35 to finally walk away for good. Unfortunately they can force you if you aren't 18. But once you are you can't be forced.

Parents like these make me so grateful for mine, like me and my older sister a treated like normal kids, with not one of us being over the other.

No amount of therapy can fix some people

Therapy is not a magic wand you can wave to solve all your problems and I'm tired of people acting like it is.
Therapy cannot fix these, some thing cant be fix, tell me you the golden child without telling me op young sister is a brat.
You , you're self call CPS to let them know what is going on don't wait until someone else does it
NTA. And I'm proud of you for standing up for yourself

You are definitely NTA. It so to me that even if you went your parents would still try to make you out to being the bad guy.
Thanks other is doing well
Nothing would help they are blinded by your sister
Of all the things that never happened, this story didn't happen the most...
Yeah because op has a spine made of steal.
