    Juventus are currently undergoing great change. After eight successive league title wins under the management of Antonio Conte and then Massimiliano Allegri, they appointed Maurizio Sarri this summer. Ostensibly, this move was made with a focus on altering the team’s style of play. However, in order for SarriBall to be realised in Turin, the club will need to ensure there are stylistically suitable players in every position. Defenders who can play out, as well as midfielders and forwards that can combine and create, are vital. Here, we consider sensible additions they could make with all of this in mind.

      Im not a Juve dan either, i just like football, but some of the transfers doesn't make sense, like this one. They did buy two guys for the DMC position (for free :D).
      And some of the guys that they include in videos, arent a step up for the clubs. Its like seeing Kovač (Bayern coach) making a list.
      Thomas biggest clubs needs the best players or the most underrated, something like that, and not the European version of Moneyball. Football (the real one) isnt only Numbers (for me).

      Rabiot has a horrible defensive workrate, his positional play is poor. AND he has a bad attitude. He has some creative qualities which is why people overrate him, but he's not first choice on a team with real aspirations. Juve need to do better.

      Yes, but people who have seen Malcuit cannot debate that he would be a sensible transfer especially considering the rivalry with Napoli and his lack of quality (regardless of the numbers that are advertised). Same goes for Paredes who is way too error prone and Luis Alberto who is too attacking (While Ramsey and Rabiot are engineered for this role). Pjanic is an upgrade on Jorginho in the offensive phase and Sarri is making him as a centerpiece of his project. And in front, Gomez is a good player but there is a glut of quality up front and there is hardly a need to bring in a player when fresher and younger options are available.
      Usually Tifo gets these videos right, but this one was particularly off.

      I hear you. Midfield isn't the first place I would go and look for replacements. However, I doubt that both Ramsey and Rabiot are good enough for Juve. Both have quality, but is it CL winning quality? So one creative signing a.k.a Paredes, isn't such a bad idea.

    I'm sorry, this video is so dumb. Juventus have more than enough world class players already. They just signed Ramsey and rabiot in addition to matuidi, khedira, and can and you want them to sign two more midfielders? The only position they need how is RW. They have the strongest team in Europe.
    The team you put up at the end of the video is far weaker than their current team.

    Not gonna lie, this one was horrible. Cancelo will probably stay so they don't need a replacement, Ramsey and Rabiot are WAY better than Matuidi and Alberto. Furthermore, they don't need a winger since Ronaldo will play LW so what they really need is a top striker, e.g. Icardi/Lukaku.

      Ramsey and Rabiot is way better? Geez... I dunno about that one. And Cancelo will "probably" stay? Lots of ifs and maybes, his departure have long been rumored so a replacement isn't that far fetched. I agree that they probably need a striker more than a winger and it actually looks like Lukaku might be on the way, we'll see. But that being said, they need a winger as well, someone dynamic, as shown in the video, but i doubt they'll get Gomez.

    Super stuff, as ever. A further detail: It's going to be interesting to see, throughout the course of the season, if Sarri deploys Cuadrado in the box-to-box midfield role much like Queiroz did with him during the Copa America. He shan't be the primary player to fulfil that role, as you point out, that will befall Matuidi, Bentancur, etc, however, it is another option for Sarri if the Colombian sticks around. Elsewhere, Sarri's preferred style of winger makes for an illustrative juxtaposition to Bielsa's preferred style of winger: The latter likes more archetypal widemen to provide width; whilst the former, as you point out, prefers more positionally astute inside-forwards

  • @carlosventura4413
    @carlosventura4413 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Imo De Ligt needs time to ease into the league so it makes sense to bench him the first couple games. Since Cancelo is out, Juventus should definitely shop for a RB. Imo Roussillon fits the mold but who knows. Rabiot and Ramsey would fit perfectly as impact subs so a player like Hamsik would be ideal due to his creative/attacking prowess. I also believe that Juves attack is lacking besides an aging Ronaldo, I don’t see anyone that helps this team score goals. Therefore, a good RW would be ideal, I would love Lozano but it seems that Napoli might just get to him first.

    Juve actually doesn't need to sign anyone else but backup's
    GK: Szczesny; Buffon
    RB: Cancelo; De Sciglio
    CB: De Ligt, Bonucci; Chiellini, Rugani
    LB: Alex Sandro; ?
    DM: Pjanic; Can
    CM: Matuidi, Ramsey; Rabiot, Bentacour
    RF: Costa; Bernadeschi
    CF: Dybala; Mandzukic (should have been Kean)
    LF: Ronaldo; ?

    Papu Gomez is a very talented player who combines all over the pitch to keep the ball moving but he's not a traditional winger.
    Juve just need a CDM in a Kante type role, Gueye would've been perfect. Then a left back as backup and maybe a decent keeper for the future if Buffon is going to retire and they're trying to flog Perrin.

    • @Tifo
      @Tifo  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Gueye is awesome but he’s not a Sarri player

    • @CJ_Yo_
      @CJ_Yo_ 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Tifo I think Gueye would be perfect for Juve if Sarri wasn't so adamant and had some versatility/adaptability. A 'true' defensive midfielder would let Ramsey and rabiot or Pjanic flourish as box to box CMS.
      I do understand that Sarri likes a Jorginho type in that role to keep the ball ticking, but even at Chelsea it felt like he just needed to play Kante there.
      I feel Juve have gone too far in this window and there's a lot of gaps in their squad. It's become like PSG's, stacked in certain areas and very drab in others.
      I appreciate you replying to my comment. Do you think Bayern need to sell players to finance moves for Sane and co.?

    • @CJ_Yo_
      @CJ_Yo_ 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I feel many clubs, Everton, PSG, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus have bought players in, but not strengthened positions that have either been left weakened in by last season or sales. I believe there will be 2 Premier League teams in the champions League final again next year.

    You make great analysis but this doesn't Justify Juventus problems.The need one more attacking mind Midfielder and a Pro Right winger like Mahrez cauz Dembele isn't their solution he is just a another coman for them.The problem for Juventus in last season was left wingback.Alex Sandro won't be able to to suit the attacking style like de scigilio Either Alex Sandro must prove him self attacking or Juve must swap him with a good left wing back.

  • @HishamR89
    @HishamR89 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    These transfer would have been considered to be ‘sensible’ for immidiate effects on the play style of the team, BUT it will be wiser to let the current players especially MF adapt and improve themself to fit Sarri’s system. Overall, I believe that Juve will struggle in the beginning and it will be hard for them to win UCL this season, however, only time can tell
