Oh no, poor spork. It’s amazing how something so small can ground you. With every thing else evolving, that was the one thing that brought familiarity to your adventures. You have to frame it now, and post it up above the captain’s chair. You did a great job polishing her up too. It looks so beautiful that I wouldn’t mind investing in one, one of these days.
You cant beat a Yamha outboard. Had the same outboard on my 20 foot Key West and it ran like a champ! Never had a single problem with it and felt confident going 80 miles offshore with it. And it sips gas!!!
We recently purchased a well-restored 1994 C-Dory 22' Cruiser with a 115 Yamaha -- what a great combination! Fast, smooth, quiet, and sips gas. Our has a rooftop A/C unit, radar arch, and Garmin radar so it looks like some sort of patrol boat!
@@TripSmith Yep, A/C is definitely a luxury, but it certainly is nice when the sun is beating down, the air still, and the humidity is clinging like a soggy koala.
Also, get yourself a spare hand-held marine radio...as backup to the main marine radio on board. A Jackery portable solar generator would be a good thing to have too.
@@TripSmith Why didn't you go duel engine? 2 Yamaha 60's would've made more sense for off shore use. What do you do if that 115 fails? At least put a kicker motor on 20hp. You have to depend on yourself off shore as you know.

With sardines, one of the best things is mandioc flour. You put in a small pan 4 spons of this, and in with a weak fire, keep moving the flour with a wood spoon until it begans to turn lightly brown. Turn off the fire and put half spoon of butter and keep moving until the flour absorb all the butter, put some salt and voi lá, its ready. This is called farofa, in Brazil. And it is good with fishes, chicken, barbecue.
Holy moly just saw the book you are reading. I read a TON and that is my favorite book. I named my first dog rescue, Tully (everyone looks at me weird when I say his name). The adventures in that book are awesome!
That boat seems ideal for having adventures on the water. I really am envious. I built a sea kayak w the hopes of doing wilderness camping, but back issues kinda put out that fire. Years later and I'm doing somewhat better so maybe this summer I can get out on the water again for some short paddles.
Maybe add some exterior flood lighting (LEDs). Waking up startled due to a "predicament" to see what is going on outside is easier if you can flip on some lights.
Everyone has a million plus one suggestions. I'm no different.... Spot lock trolling motor on the front.
