That was me on the kayak out there. I was actually saying that I had just caught a ladyfish and thought it was funny when you said "He was awfully quick to call it a ladyfish" hahaha. I figured you thought I was talking about the big black drum you had landed. Just after you guys went up the canal I landed several more that I was going to hand off to you. Anyway, great to see a fellow fisherman out there landing some fish! Really enjoy your videos you put out, largely the reason I started fishing shell beach. I ended up landing a solid 33in Redfish that day, mostly catfish, ladyfish, and runt reds though. Fun day on the water before the storms hit. Hope to see you out there again!
I'm surprise you didn't hit up Lakefront. All the rain is making the redfish come out. There's no fact to that theory that it's the cause of it but my rookie angler girlfriend caught 3 rat reds and a keeper in less than an hour.
