LOL, that is funny. I get it, however, this is more like a flying selfie stick than a more expensive drone. Thanks for watching and I hope your seasickness goes away! 🤣
Is that "whining" sound when you climb coming from the drone or from your bike? Do you record the sound with the Hover app or with an additional sound recording device? From what I have heard the sound from the drone gets filtered out when sound recording with the Hover app.
@@VegasHyperAdventures Ok, thanks for replying. If you want to get rid of the drone's noise completely, record it on your mobile phone via the Hover app. I have not tried it myself yet, but I have seen a convincing demonstration on TH-cam. The noise of the drone gets removed completely, without affecting the overall sound quality, which is amazing. However, wind noise from your phone may come in as a consequence on a bike. You may cut this out using a "dead cat" like on a 60 Dollar attachable smart phone microphone from Rhodes. Anyhow, the drones noise should be totally gone.
@danielduesentriebjunior thanks, but im not worried about that and really like the ability to use both shots from gopro and hover during my videos. Plus, like you said, wind noise would be crazy, especially here in Las Vegas. I have a wind niose protector on my go pro to eliminate that.
@@VegasHyperAdventures Ok, I understand. I am going to use the Hover with my mobile phone (and this light, wind protected Rhodes micro) in the Swiss Alps, hiking light weight. When I go cycling I use a wind protected gopro in addition.
If it is in follow-me mode it is pretty good. I did hit a tree once already, but because the blades are in a cage they are protected and it just floats to the ground. You just restart and edit out the footage. It is more for open spaces but does have the ability to maneuver around bushes and trees. I have a video coming out on Monday with a full ride of a 2.5 mile trail and it shows going around palms and it did really well. You can visit www.thehover.com for more details. It is pretty awesome and for what I do, so worth the $399.00
That thing is pretty slick!
Pretty cool. I love how easy it is. Stop, launch, ride, record, get the shot, land, and off you go. It really is that easy!!
I am going to take my fat tire bike on these trails. That drone looks nice
It is so fun and easy. You will love these trails. Landmine loop is the name, and that was the climb out of the town of Blue Diamond. Have fun!!!
@Deo_on2 please subscribe if you haven't already. Thanks!!!
Dude cool beans.
Thanks. It is so fun and easy to use!!!
Mine cant keep up on the way down to mustang loop
Right. It doesn't like to go fast, lol. The best time to use the Hoover x1 is when you're climbing or just to add to your go pro footage.
It makes me seasick how the camera just tracks on you with no regard for the bigger context of where you are and what's coming up.

It is a little bit of both. I am using my go pro for sound and am riding an e-bike so that is the motor whine you are hearing mostly.

What happens when you go under tree limbs or under a bridge?

You may set the drone that it follows at about the same altitude as yourself. Then it will hardly hit anything.
