My dad bought the 71 Kingswood wagon brand new. Silver over wood paneling. He was so proud. Drove our family from DC to Maine or Florida every summer for over 12yrs. Countless sports events, car pools, grocery runs. It never once gave our family a bit of trouble. Served us faithfully. In 82' it had 150k miles on it. I got my license and drove it to highschool until 84'. Dad got a Malibu wagon but I never drove it. I was attached to the Kingswood. In college i took it to the frat house junior and senior years and it continued to serve. You could get a lot of kegs in the back of that thing. We would pack 10 or 12 guys in and drive to DC to go bar hopping. I graduated in 88 and bought a honda. My dad parked the Kingswood infront of our house and there it sat for 2 more years. It was literally a part of our family. He just couldn't part with it. Mom started squawking about how we looked like Hill Billy's with that junk car parked out front and one sad day a tow company came and towed it away. The end of an Era.

That's the car my family had when I was a kid. Same color, too. Great times.

You will never remember an old SUV like you remember the style and comfort of these wagons.
GOSH I hate the introduction of SUVs.

The number of American car films made, for dealers, TV auto tests, etc., compared to Europe and England, is sad. They were also poorly preserved, causing blank spots to red shift. That said, please get these digitized, both for posterity, and quality, since they're un-viewable to many; myself included. Thanks.
