I'm a black woman from Seattle. Just your typical black chick. Except I've had this weird album that showed up in my car about 15 years ago, and I freaking LOVE IT. My daughter and I listened to this CD until it was so scratched up I couldn't listen anymore. There's no identifying marks on this album, just backward American flags. I bought a disc resurfacing thing and TODAY I FOUND MINISTRY!!! FAN FOR LIFE.
Something about this band is so intense, dark and foreboding that it almost makes a knot form in the pit of my stomach. It's absolutely fucking incredible
Mastodon, Neurosis, Samael, Ministry themselves, there's still bands doing good shit like this. Or almost anything from Devin Townsend/Strapping Young Lad.
They played all my favorite songs on this tour. Everyone who likes these particular songs that were able to catch this must have left there with their pants soiled
this is probably my favorite ministry song, and the part at the beginning where al is just pacing around in a circle with that cool helmet on and a cigarette in his mouth is one of the coolest fucking things i've ever seen
Dat bass line doe! 🎸🤘🤘🔥🔥🔥As a bass player myself I love it when a bass line is the driving force in a song... it's so powerful. The harmonica just really adds a super cool element to it. My favorite Ministry album by far!
gotta love how much hatred creeps along in this song.especially on acid...this shuts a behemoth of sound you don't want to end it's so negative & depressing that it's absolutely beautiful
@@Theophanic93exactly! This band was in the fucking pocket. The baseline and drum beat keeps me coming. If you love this song check out “A History of Bad Men” by The Melvins. Very similar to Filth Pig!
saw them on this tour at the aragon ballroom. was only 15 and my second concert ever. shaped my entire outlook on music. one of the best live bands ever
Man I love this song. The only time I got a chance to see Ministry live was in Detroit 1999 in support of Dark Side and I remember Al came out on stage and spun round and round and round and round and round in his leather trench. One of the best shows I've ever seen.
Well I started out younger at things that people start younger at And a thousand days and nights of getting overexposed Then someone asks, "How do you sleep at night?" With the borrowed dreams from a broken past You keep runnin' away don't matter how fast or long You always wind up there Another thousand pileups in the ugly name of morality Fucking ugly, some creepy guy keeps asking "How the fuck do you sleep at night?" With a frozen dream and a borrowed hope that died [Chorus 1] Filth pig, filth pig Filth pig I sleep with both eyes open Filth pig, filth pig Filth pig I keep chasing this tail but the tail gets bigger go figure A thousand more stories keep the fires and flames alive So how the fuck do I dream at night? With the memories of a borrowed death, the guilty past [Chorus 2] Filth pig, filth pig Filth pig He sleeps with both eyes open Filth pig Filth pig, filth pig Filth pig He sleeps alright 'cause he's a Filth pig, filth pig Filth pig
This song is quite coy - although heavy in a conventional way versus industrial, it also feels repressed, almost soft in a lethargic manner whereas the blaring sonic assault is dampened by a comatose malaise of ambition ... Simply Put: do a crapload of heroin & record a meaty song with a super laid back attitude!! GENIUS
I far prefer Melvinstry to Slayistry. Filth Pig and Dark Side were really influenced by Melvins and Swans as far as I can hear, and that's why they're two of the strongest in the catalog
Damn, I wish I saw them on this tour. The heroin era. I saw them a bunch of times after Mark Baker left. I missed seeing Mark but Uncle Al never fails to deliver. Who's still listening to this in 2017?
I turn to this song when the world and all turn on me !! It’s just so anti hero and self destructive in a good way. 😅😉 Better than than a strong bottle of whiskey or some of George bushes smack
I started out younger at the things that people start young at spent dozen days and nights getting overexposed And someone asks how do you sleep at night with a broken dream from a broken past.. Fuck ministry you summed up my entire youth in one paragraph.
Is it true this song is about a reporter who asked Jourgensen how he sleeps at night? I heard a story behind this question was Ministry having obese female dancers on stage. Also I heard the title "Filth Pig" came from a politician who called Al a filthy pig.
i love thow they just let it feedback before the verses and just unleash the doomiest ministry riff ever. and look at that audience and the band are trippin balls togheter
Чуваки, искренне не пониманию, где все комменты на русском? Ведь министры создали целую музыкальную культуру, и поклонников данной банды в России полно...

It really is
I feel this song in every molecule of my body...a fn beautiful evil song...on repeat
My favorite Ministry song!!!!!
There is no music like this anymore. Every thing today is pure garbage. This is pure brain candy !!!!!
5 Fingered Death Munch -I hear thats where it's at hahahahahahaha
The Melvins still make music like that, and I think there are plenty of sludge metal bands around but yeah, I get your point. Not that cool anymore.
Mastodon, Neurosis, Samael, Ministry themselves, there's still bands doing good shit like this. Or almost anything from Devin Townsend/Strapping Young Lad.
Never was Music like this.......this little cunts doesnt deserve it!!!....
This guy on the Drums Is cary the song!!!
al's such a great nerd, i mean that as a compliment, he's much smarter than some people might think, even when he's off his head
BAD ASS harmonica solo, holy god... and Al sure knows how to spit in on stage in a real bad ass way too
.

Killer song from one great MINISTRY album.
These are the bad guys that get killed by Robocop.
jay hal lmaooooooo
Strangely enough, Ministry did the song that is playing at the club in the film
@@fungifago yes! And appearing on that song was none other than Nivek Ogre of Skinny Puppy when the genres evovled. Great track!
Awwww yah. I can listen to this over and over.
The way al plays the harmonica in this song is just spellbinding. This is the ministry i love and no one else hits this kind of frequency.
gotta love how much hatred creeps along in this song.especially on acid...this shuts a behemoth of sound you don't want to end it's so negative & depressing that it's absolutely beautiful
I love the deep darkness on a trip of acid i love how spellbound it made me i could release the negative emotion i have towards the government

This is signature Ministry. Like stairway to heaven, dream on, freebird. And so on by others...
Only Uncle Al could smoke a cig and blow the harp at the same time. Lol!
You mean Harmonica. ;)
Yeah I am referring to the harmonica. Old-school bluesman called the harmonica "harp", Come on guy, haven't you ever watched Cadillac Records?
Ah. Learn something new every day. :)
Cameron Walker Glad I could be useful for once.
Scott Patterson
DAMN STRAIGHT!
Only uncle El can smoke and play harmonics at the same time. What a legend. This live version is just pure badass.
2020 amidst coronavirus... Still listening!

Al was a pretty serious junkie when this film was shot.

Dear Ministry, Your music is an inspiration to me and my mission. I love you. With my sincerest regards Gayle Raye Bremer
THE SOUND IS PERFECT.😀
this song gets my vote for Family Friendly Song of the Year on You Tube! :)
I like the harmonica part in this song besides the fact the rest kicks ass! Glad to see they are back and recruited Tool's original basist.

Filth Pig and Dark Side were influenced by heroin and almost-dying Al more than anything... Filth Pig is still one of their best works in my opinion
I hear a lot of Godflesh in those albums as well.
Disney + ad right after, fuck yeh perfect choice
How did Al flip the switch from "I Wanted To Tell Her", and "Revenge", and "Work For Love" to this?!?!
Pure unadulterated anger. And lots of drugs.
