"Fringe". I am not sure if this really happened, but whoever write this line at The Crown, is a genius. Andrew is fringe, he didn't necessarily need to be, but he made himself fringe by doing whatever he did on that island and now Charles desperately wants to distance himself from Andrew. As he rightly should. The late Queen could get away with showing support for her vile son, because she had been a monarch for decades, but Charles doesn't enjoy the same popularity as her, is dealing with cancer and an errant son and DIL and also a allegedly criminal brother. Its only sensible to drop the dead weight.

“We need a name” in other words someone is about to get run over by a big red double decker bus!
Oh the guy playing Prince Edward is the guy who plays Merlin in "The Kid Who Would Be King" and also the awkward stepson in Fleabag. He's really quite a handsome lad
Edward was also v handsome. The best looking brother.
Wow! Charles certainly is diplomatic, isn’t he?
"Whatever [diplomatic] means."
Prince Andrew's Wedding Day Hissy Fit -- One of my favorite scenes in "The Crown" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Andrew: "The wedding of the DoY should be a landmark event" 😂😂😂😂 Edward: "That was impressively c#nty" 😂😂😂😂
I'd feel more sorry for him if I didn't know how he was eventually going to turn out. Oh, and that marriage is doomed.
0:28 It's hard to feel sorry for Andy and Sarah, and Chuck. And Phil.
The actor playing Edward is also the stepson from Fleabag. I was waiting for a "where's Claire?" :p
"Fringe!" Oh my.
Princess Anne ❤❤❤
Ok this drama is by far the best👏👏👍🇿🇲
Oh Andrew😂 Charles reminded him that he actually will never be King 👑. Fast forward to 2024, he isn't a working royal and no one wants to see him😢
He’s a capital P
See how they throw this guy under the bus? "They need a name." This is the behavior Harry complained about. Sacrifice everyone, screw over everyone, to protect the crown (and the heir).
@@coneil72 nah, Harry’s example of him being an scapegoat is the media talking about him doing drugs… which he then admits was true. His other example was the media criticising him for dressing as a nazi, in the same party William dressed as a lion. His third example is being criticised for flying private and promoting sustainable travel, but William mostly flies commercial. The heir is clearly never protected in lieu of the spare or Charles wouldn’t have had his conversations with Camilla wiretapped. It’s just happened that Andrew and Harry have both been shittier than their siblings, likely due to having the privileges sans responsibilities 🤷♀️
But that WAS where the leak xame from 🤦♀️
“The firm” will take down anyone necessary, just to save their own face.
"That was impressively cunty"... Edward was always the most underrated, more realistic of the Queen's Princes... Knew and accepted his place and made the most of it...
I would argue he turned out the best of her sons.
That actor playing Charles sounds remarkably like him. He captured him very well physically as well.
Proof positive of the intense selfishness and narcissism of these two princes. Their later years proved this in spades, also. It was a funny scene tho.
Charles has reigned in his. Andrew has not and will probably not.
Hi, did you know that The Crown is fiction? Those are actors saying lines, not the Royal Family. The writers of The Crown did not have hidden cameras or hidden microphones in Buckingham Palace and Windsor. 😂😂😂😂
@@flowermeerkat6827 Probably the OP is a dopey American who thinks this is a documentary.
The only one of them worth a damn was Anne, who was and is truly formidable. I wish she were the firstborn; what a badass queen she would have been.
@@christinebutler7630 Edward is not so bad either. I agree Anne would have been an awesome monarch like her mother, but sadly even if she was oldest of all of them she would not have been Queen. Male primogeniture was still active back then and the only way she could have been queen was if she had no brothers like her mum.
A lesson for all spares, who fancied the throne at anytime...
It's true he never was going to be king
Isn’t Big Brother Charles tactful and comforting here? 😆
@@DVPerry220he couldn’t Evan comfort his own kids after there mothers death
That is how it looks right
now.
But there have been precedents of a second or third son becoming King.
*Henry VII, George V, and George VI were second sons. From what I have read, Henry was destined for church life.
*Victoria was the daughter of George III's fourth son.
@@ilovemickyandhelove1 that’s untrue, in his book Harry speaks of how shattered he was and how he supported them, and it’s known (from former courtiers) that when he was told Diana died he was crying so loud they had to move him to another part of Balmoral so he wouldn’t wake William and Harry
If that's true. What they pulled on that poor man totally sucks. I would have come out with a book about it.
Wow, that newspaper man being throw under a bus and accepting that is heavy.
Andrew should've said, "I only have one medal on my chest, but unlike you I won my medals and earned my rank."
Cos he's a real hero isn't he......................just like Harry. ( Both were utterly cocooned from any real danger )
@@maxthelab8457 No.
@@maxthelab8457 If he was on board of the Invincible or any other ship of the expeditionary Fleet, he was in danger like any other member of the crews were...
Charles served on warships though
@@maxthelab8457you do know Harry was an active helicopter pilot during the Afghanistan War? He had to be released after someone revealed his identity and location for obvious security reasons. Definitely not cocooned.
Wow, people actually commenting on this as though it wasn’t a work of complete fiction 😂
Falling on his sword, for Queen and Country.
Andrew, upset about his place in history… oh one day you may get your headlines!
Bravo. Well Edward handled that bit of truth well.
Anne would have made an amazing queen!
I am not sure if there is any realism in this show but if it shows some semblance of reality they are a strange family indeed
Fergie and Randy Andy were a great pair afterall was said and done 😅😅😅...and they said she was bad...
But Mummy has final say!😑
Edward's "Ouch!' was sassy.
I love how Charles is gleeful that the Queen is getting slaughtered for having an opinion on record. Andrew is being a diva, Edward had the best line at the end. And then we have Anne . . . sitting there watching and sipping her drink, above it all like the Bad Ass Queen she is . In my head cannon this is her thought. "I'm surrounded by idiots . . .and I'm related to them."
Talk about taking Loyalty for the crown, that's a real low .
As always.. the rich people get to go scot free.. while the lower class get stepped on.. even when its not thier fault..
This was the middle season of The Crown and it was fabulous
Josh O'Connor did a fantastic job.
This is how it goes .
Edward freely used one of my favourite terms ......................starts with a c and ends with a y.
Eu queria a cena em que a rainha corre atrás da carruagem na série eu acho momento tão fofo
Andrew will pay dearly his narcissim as well as the late Queen as H.M. K. C III is still dealing with that trouble-fête.
so, thatcher is accurately being call a witch because even her majesty gets opinionated
Reason No. 1,267 to never trust the British elite.
Andrew seems stressed by events. No doubt the fact he has to marry an adult has him sweating too
😆😅😂🤣
How many times do you have to be told? Andrew doesn’t sweat! He told us that on live television!
stop talking rot
One of the things I never liked about royalty is the impressive amount of phony military titles
And they all lived happily ever after.
You can always change tactics Andy!! and go to Pizza Hut. 😛
0:50 I bet Edward IV said something similar to his younger brother Richard, and look how that turned out…
And the Press Agent realised that day that the biggest problem with licking the boot is that your mouth is only inches away from your throat
That inbred Charles was so cruel and selfish. If it wasn’t about his happiness he didn’t care. Who says that to someone, esp their own brother on their wedding day??
He never got any better either.
Best series on Netflix
Why is it always so dark and foggy in the rooms? Very annoying...
I have a hunch they included this scene for two reasons.
1: They realised they had made Charles far too sympathetic in the pre-Diana storyline, and were trying to make up for that by showing his nasty side to more than just her.
2: They wanted to give Edward a good reason to use the C word 🤣I also believe that's the only time we hear a Royal swear in the entire show, and it's the worst word there is. Comedic genius.
the prince had learned this with his grandmother and mother
Yet people revere her.
The truth hurts
I could see the 2 Charles and Andrew acting like that
Typical! The rich always find someone who would take the fall for them. Culprit indeed! Its just atrocious! 😏🙄
It isn't just the rich. Half a**ed, incompetent bosses in all kinds of industries and workplaces, do it all the time.
edward and his hired Royal marines uniform, so many unearned medals and decorations.
Tell me about it! 😅😂
You're forgetting that he was in action and did actually serve well, in the Falklands. Despite whatever else he may have done. Oops, thought the reference was to Andrew, mia culpa. 😖
@@Beruthiel45That was Andrew, NOT Edward.
Edward never finished basic training.

The Crown must win. Must *always* win.
Andrew’s face when he’s called “fringe” is a picture! Like a Harry and Meghan hybrid 😂
Aren’t they all the same…..
