James was tasked of taking the midnight goods to the Other Railway, where diesels roam the yards and steam engines are nowhere to be seen.

Not gonna lie, the mean-tempered diesel locomotives boasting about abolishing steam is heartbreaking. If it weren't for the steam trains, the diesel trains wouldn't even be here. There are lots of friendly, sympathetic, well-meaning, caring, and good-hearted diesel locomotives who care deeply for the steam trains and are also willing to help preserve them as well as help out the steam trains with the passenger trains and the freight trains.
