CAR journalist Sean Parker takes a spin in this special Range Rover Sport SVR detailed by SVO. The example you see here is one of 27 units commissioned by Range Rover South Africa to show its consumers just how customisable its products are.
For this Range Rover Sport SVR, a bespoke Stimelasa Sebusuku black paint has been used on the body and is complemented by 22-inch five split-spoke gloss black alloy wheels and red SV brake callipers. This look is further enhanced by a body-coloured carbon fibre bonnet and other trims supported by the SVR carbon fibre exterior pack. Keeping things as dark as possible is the privacy glass option which is contrasted by the bright pixel LED headlamps with signature DRLs.
Within the cabin, SVO has opted for bespoke ebony leather upholstery with Pimento inserts and Windsor trims as part of the extended leather pack. Bespoke SVO badges have been applied to the B-pillar and tread plates to signify its exclusivity. SVR performance seats ensure that the driver and passenger feel secure through spirited drives.
Under the bonnet of the Range Rover Sport SVR is the brand’s supercharged 5,0-litre V8 that sends 423 kW and 700 N.m of torque, available from 3 500 - 5 000 r/min, to all four wheels via an eight-speed torque converter. With this, the 2,4 tonne SUV will accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4,5 seconds and reach a top speed of 283 km/h.
Earlier this year, Jaguar Land Rover announced that by 2025, it would be putting an end to all internal combustion cars which means that this is likely to be the last Range Rover Sport SVR to house the firms now iconic supercharged engine. The firm has hinted that six all electric variants are set to be introduced to its line-up with the earliest arriving by 2024. This, in an attempt to achieve net zero carbon emissions across its supply chain, products and operations by 2039.

It has 575 hp which is already a lot for an SUV. More power would mean stronger breaks and improvement everywhere around the car. The price would rise and there would be less clients. The SVR is the perfect balance between a 4x4 (off-road) and a sports car. It i was not only made for speed.
