It's not, but you need so much to be viable that it's worth skipping early if you don't take veteran+hunter. I really think early firearms needs a buff, at least pistols, rifles, etc. should be more accurate.
Shooting in Unstable 42 is nothing like it was in previous releases. It took a while to figure out how to use firearms effectively. Echo Creek is deceptive, it appears that there aren't many zomboids in it until you start shooting.
@ problem is it’s to big I killed 500+ zeds and it took like 1 week and that was just the maintenance 2 rooms then there is the gun range and stuff I’m on low pop to
...massive dissapointment, cleared the whole building in 1-2weeks and the loot wasn't any better than in army surplus stores (literally found 4 rifles and 2 pistols) XD
I love that you can immediately craft a makeshift bag from a sheet now - no more garbage bag piles! Of course most REAL bags are still better. I enjoyed your video. Subscribed!
@WavesyGetsGood ive been driving like a madman and destroying cars, seems like they definitely changed crash damage and maybe implemented it so if you break and attempt to stop it wont just break your legs and kill you anymore. Ive destroyed 3+ cars in the span of a week driving 60+ and braking most times yet still destroying vehicles and havent been maimed beyond a deep wound after a windshield broke, with slow healer. Maybe its just me idk, you experiment (drive like shit) more and have a similar experience?
I made myself a good base in echo creek, but I can't find the book "How to use generators" and I can't find the map anywhere on the internet to check where is the nearest book store
All the 3rd party tools are definitely gonna be a while. But I have heard you can gain the generator skill by simply leveling electrical. Not confirmed, though.
I think they have their own charm, but I do understand. I believe there's already mods out that restore the old moodles that would be a good fit for ya!
Echo Creek definitely feels like the "starter area" for the game now that Muld and Rosewood are PACKED
Echo Creek is definitely lower pop, but they really nailed the small town feel. It feels like home 🥹
riverside is not that bad. But theres way less loot there so that makes sense. brandenburg is completely effed u can hardly drive there
@@Amboreal_nah downtown is swarming tbh
Stating with a gun is not too unrealistic. I mean, it is America

@@WavesyGetsGood im certain no one at indie stone have actually fired a weapon before.
"Ohhh this is life" meanwhile his character is freaking dying
I lived, its okay. Just gotta keep that positive mental attitude 💪
@WavesyGetsGood Yeah, but i mean ur character was suffering 😭😭 lol

I can't wait to learn this the hard way. Not next video, that will be a different kind of hard lesson. 😉
The gun shop is packed with zombies
If you got an aiming level of 2 or above and enough ammo, the zombies in Echo Creek are nothing
The gas station is just east of the trailer park and is the best base spot in echo creek. You pressed Q at it
👀 noted.
The gun store is like massive massive
I'm excited to get to it. Soon.

Do what now?!? This is red alert news 🚨 thanks for subscribing! Part 2 soon!
Wizard hat protected m8 from the car crashes
For once, I didn't break my leg in a car crash. It has to be the wizard hat.

The devs should add an option to switch to the old moodles and return old sounds (both of them as an optional option in the game settings)
I feel that in a short time, people will get used to them. I personally think they're both charming, but I'm embracing the new!
I made myself a good base in echo creek, but I can't find the book "How to use generators" and I can't find the map anywhere on the internet to check where is the nearest book store
Just gyatta go the old fashioned way to adventure

@@WavesyGetsGood I just checked. And yes, I can now start the generator at electrician level 3. I better get started working on that skill.
theres a book store in brandenburg which is one of the new towns near echo creek
Can you throw zombies out the window without a mod in 42? That was always my must-have mod
Yes you can, go up to a window with a corpse in hand and either hold e or press e I can’t remember which input it id precisely.
I'll give it a shot next time it presents itself. Which may be sooner than later 😉
it didn't occur to me to have multiple TVs on omg
Me maximally entertained. Don't stop at 4, there's free tvs just lying all over the place!
I dont think you could ever rip socks actually.
You could. I used it a lot during CDDA runs. It was overpowered, though.
echo creek is the mario 1:1 of zomboid spawns i will not elaborate
Understood. Video out tomorrow (hopefully), should be more Super Mario All-Stars and less Mario Tennis 🤞
Part 2 pls, find animals
Part 2 soon. If I didn't have to work 3x12 it would be out by now. 🫡
Dude how did you make the item text that big?
I haven't done anything special aside from zooming in. I run 1920x1080 monitor and no mods.
the flop must be fixed? i haven't noticed it
I notice it so often! It's not a big deal on normal mode, but it's a bigger issue in the next video.
i wonder how im not seeming to trigger it...
Same, played about 10 hours and have not experienced it.
Y O I N K
An absolute classic 😎
Have I been running some archaic unknown version of Zomboid? In the entire time I've played the map has never been revealed until I explore...
I feel like it had been revealed but now I'm second guessing myself...
@@WavesyGetsGood I always revealed the map in Sandbox mode
Yeah, I always do. It seems like you'd at least know some of the map, especially around the near by towns.
i hate the new Moodles icon
I think they have their own charm, but I do understand. I believe there's already mods out that restore the old moodles that would be a good fit for ya!
