The second woman didn't apply the wrong product. She mixed it properly the first time and applied it and then she went to apply a second box and mixed that incorrectly. She didn't use it, which is why she said she hopes her hair is saturated enough.

We did our own perms back in the late 80s and early 90s. The key is to use the correct size rollers, papers, and a high quality box perm which could be purchased at a beauty supply store, and reading carefully and following the directions and warnings. It wasn't hard once you knew how to roll the hair and choose correct size rollers.

Okay, as a curly haired girl, let me tell you - we do not roll out of bed with our hair looking fabulous. Curls are work. I wake up looking like a frizzed out mess most days AND my curls have their own agenda. Today my hair was super curly and cute. Yesterday? Yeah. Yesterday not so much. Every day is a surprise even if I do everything the same!!
Wasn’t that way for me 🤷🏻♀️ My permed hair was magical and never needed fussing with. I naturally have fine straight hair so maybe naturally curly hair is different.

If youre still in the US id love for you to go to Sally beauty since youve said before they dont have them where you live overseas. Id like to hear your honest opinion on the place. People don't read instructions anymore. They think it's magic. I remember back in the day (80s 🤫) when I was getting a perm, the stylist would towel dry each of the curlers after rinsing the perm solution so the water wouldn't dilute the neutralizer. THAT was very important.
Yeah even sometimes we will use paper towels too as an addition to the towel as well I learned that from some of the more seasoned stylist I worked with
My nose will always remember the perm stench from 30 years ago. Age and blood pressure medication have finally given me the curls that all that stinky chemical exposure couldn't quite achieve.
Your BP medication helps to make your hair wavy/curly? I’ve definitely noticed that menopause has made my hair wavier, but didn’t know about BP meds. Thankfully don’t need those yet. I’d love to hear more about your experience.
I have been a hairdresser for 25 years I haven't done a perm in 10 years Every piece of advice I hear you give gives me great pleasure. Thank you so much
As a retired hairstylist it is so interesting that these people have NO idea how much knowledge is actually involved in executing a perm properly. From size of sections to proper rod size and what happens to the bonds of your hair. We went to school for a reason. Every time someone figures they can do any chemical process at home it marginalizes the time we spent learning.
I agree, but to play devil's advocate, folks attempting highly skilled processes keep professionals in their career. What would have cost $X now costs $ZZ. Don't do this at home folks 😬
Not entirely true, I am a retired RN, just because I can’t teach a person how to properly change their dressings at home doesn’t make my knowledge invalid. But the absolute goofiness of trying to use these products with no knowledge makes me think they think it is magic, not science. In the seventies I would say half of all people who got perms did them at home . But everyone was doing them so more knowledge was shared.
Im not a hairdresser and I would never dare to try this at home. This is such a scary procedure and my respect go for the hairdressers they can study and do this. I destroyed my hair with home bleaching two years ago ever since I let my hair being natural. Finally my virgin hair grew back and no way I will ever damage it again. I save up instead and visit a hair salon.
I remember my mom home perming my hair back in the 80s. Rollers were so tight, and the solution would be dripping. I would always come out looking like orphan Annie.🤦♀️
Lol my mom permed my hair in the 80s as well. I ended up looking...exactly the same. 😅 My fine, pin-straight hair wouldn't hold a curl to save my life.
Way back in the 50s, when I was in kindergarten and all through grade school, my mom would take me and have my hair permed constantly. The smell was horrible, I hated it, hated it. I would have these ugly little curls in my hair and I would be so embarrassed and dreaded to go to school. I don’t know why my mom hated my straight hair. Her and my grandma were always berating my hair. To this day my hair is as straight as a pin and it’s staying that way.
@@bucketofsunshine6366I was the same! Poodle for three days, wavy for a couple more, then straight as a die again! I’m going grey now, and my greys are coming in curly. It’s awesome!
I have been getting a spiral perm for summer once a year for thirty years. I go to a salon and they use regular perm rods and piggyback technique. I love it. But no way can i do this myself. ❤❤❤ Much love to you hair budda. I am using my husband 's phone writing from Detroit. My husband has Belgian ancestry. ❤ Belgium.
Oh boy, do I remember perms. The one and only that I had, I asked for waves and ended up with the tightest curls you can get. It looked SOOOO bad. So, my teenage self thought "why not wash this out?" and ended up with a head full of frizz instead. This led to my era of pixie cuts
In the early 60s as a kid, Toni home perms in the pink and white boxes and all the sisters just knew the following Saturday would not be our best day. 😂
I remember everyone perming their hair in the 80's,that was the look back then. Curls are a lot of work and they go flat sleeping on them and your hair sticks up in places when you wake up.takes products and patience to get it back to decent looking curls.
I’m here 8 months later lurking in the comments and it’s hilarious. Some days my hair wakes up just fine, other days… phew. Some days my hair looks like it’s perfect ringlets and other days it could be freshly washed, conditioned etc, and still looking like a wavy, kinky, frizzy mess. I HATE it.
Well, those of us with stringy oily hair, perms are great. And yes sometimes frizzy hair looks much better than flat stringy hair and perfect for the beach. Imo
Yes! Though I never got the frizzy stuff but my perms were heaven! No fuss, no brush, didn’t have to wash every day, twice a day in summer. I’ve naturally fine, straight, oily hair. Maybe naturally curly hair is a different animal. 🤷🏻♀️
Since when have those rods been for perms? As the Gentleman himself says, you need to wind from the end, covered in paper, to the middle. As someone who has had more perms than most have had hot dinners, this girl is bonkers.
My mother and grandmother would perm each others hair at home every year since the early 70s, I'll never forget that awful smell. They had that very typical super short hair, short curl perm look that was popular in the 70s and 80s. They looked like poodles. Which was ironic, since they had 20 poodles. I couldn't tell them apart half the time.
"i don't have to do my hair"... Yeah i got a digital perm thinking the same thing. That was the most high maintenance my hair ever has been. It was gorgeous though
Here to defend the home perm🙋♀️ I have done several and they have turned out great…..but I have my best friend who was a stylist to teach me how to do it properly. I know how to care for it after that’s Very important!!! I sleep in a protective bonnet. Ya do your research before you do it.
As a curly haired girlie I can confirm…we do no just “wake up” like this. It takes A LOT of work to get our curls defined and bouncy but without frizz. Frizz is a curly girlie’s KRYPTONITE!!!
Anyone who thinks they could perm at home or do anything hair related (color, bleaching, etc.) should really watch your videos first. These people are so brave. This is why there are hair professionals!!! (I am not one 😊). Love your channel!!
As a natural curly girl 57 years old I have never in my life understood why anyone would try to get curly hair. I appreciate you saying how much hard work it is because I get compliments all of the time and they have NO IDEA what I go thru. My mom still gets a perm but always wants me to blow it out for her! ??????????????
My mother was a beautician from Japan. When I was little, I had long wavy hair. However, my mother got tired of brushing it out all the time so she gave me a pixie cut and permed my hair. God it was awful. In my 20's I used to perm my long hair. It took almost all day to roll my hair up and go through the process. I'm 63 now and my hair goes down to my waist. Haven't permed it in forever. I can braid it, wear it in a bun, a ponytail - works for me.
Oh wow, i have never met someone from Japan with wavy hair. I bet it was gorgeous ! How were you able to perm a pixie cut ? That inch of hair fit around those rods ? So many questions.
How stunning is this young lady absolutely beautiful!!!! Buzz cut suits her....and her attitude and personality is absolutely Wonderful !!!!! Rare qualities now days...If you know her hold on to her as your friend because shes the amazing type of person who will be like family and wont let you put yourself down etc so be good to her .... Wow what a positive young woman.. She just radiates good vibes bet shes so fun to be around
I love watching your reactions and narrative on do it at home hair styles. I also watched your family trip to the Disney theme park. It was wonderful to see you having fun with your family. You were so into a Star Wars exhibition it was infectious.
Natural curl girl here. There’s a reason I dyson my hair smooth every time I shower. Because I too have a dream to have low maintenance hair. If you’re looking for low maintenance, curly is not the way to go.
When the second girl talked about a relaxer after I screamed NO she can just wash it lmaooo if it’s less than 48 hours and she doesn’t like it that will help and less damage my godddd people educate yourselves no wonder people make their hair fall out😭😭
It looked to me that she used the first box correctly but she accidentally mixed the neutralizer in with the second box so she couldn’t use that box at all and she just didn’t have enough.
As someone with naturally 2c/3a curls, i can confirm it takes at least 1.5 hours every morning to simply refresh my hair, makeup takes 20. I usually wear a bun just to save time.
Curly-haired girl here - it takes me a whole hour just to distribute products and make sure my curls are defined, then another hour to diffuse and style .... having curly hair is no joke! And humidity - curls' worst enemy!!
Dry hair and using spongy rollers, too big, without paper, that will absorb all the product, never gets rinsed off completely before applying the neutralizer... Well, the last perm I gave myself was in 1996, it was not a fail and had remained beautiful for a very long time! But like any chemical products, it also caused some split ends and breakage on my fine hair and it took a long time and haircuts before it was back to normal! Was worth it, but never again! Thanks Hair Buddha!
Happy Monday morning thank you for this video I remember the days my mom would either try to get my hair straightened cuz I have naturally curly hair or she get a perm in it thinking it was going to make it more like unified curls no mom My hair is just crazy kind of like you. Love the videos much love Denver Colorado
I got a perm around 15 years ago from someone who had been perming their own hair, their sister's and mom's hair for years. It turned out great, I was so happy and it lasted probably a year (granted it grew out with straight roots, so I would put my hair in a ponytail or curly bun toward the end with my inches of straight hair at the top and then curls all of a sudden). With the perm, it actually was a LOT faster and easier to do my hair in the morning, but on wash day, which was only 1 time a week with the perm, it took a LONG time getting my hair done. I would use gel while it was wet and sprunch it in my hands, and use a diffuser on my hairdryer. It took a long time to dry, too. I would do that on Saturdays and have awesome hair all week. Secretly, I want to get a perm again. Now, I color my hair due to going gray, so it would still be safe, but my stylist doesn't do perms at all, and I don't think the person that did mine does hair anymore. My hair doesn't like to cooperate in its natural state, so adding volume and "character" helps my hair do something other than just hang there, LOL.
I did a home perm once....I looked like a poodle. I immediately washed it out. Never again. I have big curly waves naturally if my hair isn't too long. I don't know why I thought I would end up with that look on longer hair.
Omg, the first one thinking she could just get up and have her hair be perfect.........I had a perm when I was about 11-12 and while it was gorgeous, I lost patience about 3 months later with it and just took a hair brush to it. That was ok...until I cut my hair to about chin length about 7 months after the perm and it poofed out.
I permed hair from late 70s to late 90s and the perm I used was a foam. You could take your time rolling up the hair and then you applied the foam to each curl. Never had a fail.
For the last video... The box comes with ingredients A B and C. You're supposed to mix A and B, apply it to the hair then rinse it out and apply C. She mixed A and C, ruining all three ingredients.
Bravo Hair Buddha. I have natural curly hair and in the morning it's like I have put my fingers into a socket 😂😂😂😂 minimum 10 minutes to fix them a little bit. Even more to do a better job. 😊
The only professional perm I ever got broke off all my hair because I had bleached hair. The hairdresser didn't seem to care and went ahead and did it anyway. I had no idea it was a very bad idea. I was pregnant and so tired of doing my 80s hairstyle, I thought a curly perm was the solution LOL
I love this channel, especially that you explain things without belittling people. I've been coloring my own hair for over 20 years and I'm well aware that it's ... just aight. I could use a highly skilled colorist in Chicago because despite my extremely limited schedule, one day I'd like to go to a professional!! If you know of someone, please comment!!
My stepmom hated my straight hair when I was like only 12 she started bringing me for perms. I hated it the burning the smell. I won't even use a curling iron because of her.
Many years ago, a hairdresser told me to put a relaxer on my perm that was too tight. My hair stretched off lol I had to nearly shave my head. Lesson well learned.
Hey hair Buddha, I just wanted to leave a comment to say I love your videos, and I always find them incredibly useful/informational as well as entertaining! I cut my boyfriend’s hair (he has long hair) and I used to follow Brad mondo’s tutorial with the little ponytails, but the line never came out straight and I always had to go back in and do it in sections. I felt like I was doing something wrong, but your explanation as to why it doesn’t work makes so much sense, I wanted to say thank you so much for taking the time to teach us how to cut hair properly! *I was wondering whether you’d ever do a video about how to properly care for your hair and recommend some products (like shampoos and conditioners) or tools for different hair types, including people with very sensitive skin?* I know there are a few hairdressers doing this on TH-cam already but a lot of them are trying to sell their own line of products/are promoting brands that they are affiliated with or they are American and recommend products that can’t be readily found in Europe. They also often recommend products that are heavily scented and have other potential allergens in the ingredients, so they are unsafe to use for people with allergies/very delicate skin. I’ve tried asking my own hairdresser, I love him, but he also (understandably) always recommends brands that his salon works with, and those brands don’t really work for me because I have very sensitive skin and the formulas just aren’t gentle enough for me to use regularly. I’m currently stuck using baby shampoo because it’s the only thing that doesn’t upset my skin 🤦♀️ You always mention how your salon tries to use gentle products even for colouring, so I was thinking that you might also know some good haircare products with gentle formulas! I know you’re probably very busy and the chances that you will see this comment and be able to reply to it are pretty low, but I thought it wouldn’t hurt to write it anyways. Either way, thank you for all the content that you already make, for entertaining us and teaching us at the same time! (I left this comment on an older video thinking that it was your latest video earlier, but I realized I made a mistake and deleted it! So sorry if you had already seen it 🙈).
Off course I will reply. But it is difficult to make a video about a product because everybody needs a different product for your hair & skin. I will think about a video how I can explain
@@hair-buddha thank you so much for replying! Of course, I can see how it’s difficult to make general recommendations so if you don’t think that’s appropriate I completely understand! I would be interested in any information/insight that you can provide on the topic of hair care and hair care products, even if you cannot recommend specific brands or products, because there is a lot of confusing (and contrasting) advice all over social media coming from a variety of sources, which often aren’t very trustworthy. But I look forward to any video you decide to make, on this or on any other topics, in any case! Once again, thank you so much for replying! 🥹
I had a loose perm in the early 90s and it was lovely. Maybe I'll get another one, I don't need highlights anymore as I have white hairs coming through now and I need more body! 😂
My favorite line when blondes came in to get perms, was..."do you want paper or plastic?" They would ask me what I was talking about and I asked what kind of bag they wanted to take their hair home in😂 That usually settled the perm issue. My least favorite was doing piggyback perms on people that had super long hair .. It was just a nightmare. And God forbid band placement Don't put the bands against the roots!
My last perm was in ‘89, so I’m surprised this is still a thing! 2 questions for anyone who knows: 1.) why is it better to start with wet hair? Wouldn’t that make your hair absorb less product? 2.) Is the Body Wave still around too? I had some BAD ones.. like 30+ years ago 😂
I wonder if any of these folks have tried doing the "curl overnight" thing... I've seen lots of people come out with amazing morning curls by using soft curlers/rollers (one gal swore by fabric ties, but just did the ends) to roll up their hair when it's wet and let it dry while they slept. They take the curlers/rollers/ties out in the morning and have consistently lovely results.
Hair Budda, the 2nd girl mixed the first box correctly. But when she mixed the 2nd box because she needed more solution, she mixed it wrong. So she only has one box of perm and neutralizer to work with.
I worked in a salon in the mid-late 90s, used to love the feeling of the hair when you took all the rollers out. And making sure you neutralise properly, used to stand there for agss keep reapplying to saturate the hair. I don't miss the smell!
I usually have no sympathy for such people who do ridiculous things to their hair. But at least the first lady researched and knew the risks. She was honest and served as a great example and advocate of what not to do.
My Mom started perming my hair when I was about 7 or 8 years old. Home perms were a big thing in the '50's and she was careful and successful. Still, I had to put my hair up in rollers or pincurls, starting with wet hair and Dippity Do. I slept on it, hoping that it would dry overnight. Hairdryers were bonnet style, not blow dryers. We didn't have one. Once dry and rollers out, you had to brush and brush and brush until you tamed it. Forget getting up and going with no prep time. However, I was raised hearing the phrase "What price beauty?" A woman did whatever she had to do to get her hair to look "right". I was indoctrinated from a very early age. Thank goodness, I am over that now
hi hair Buddha.I really missed your channel.I have been a bit quiet lately!Self perm at home is not a safe thing to do😲Loveto you and your beautifull family🌋🌀❄❤
***I'm 45 yrs old. I've had a plethora of hair styles including perms and straight. There was way more work everyday when my hair was permed. Just my experience.***
My aunt was a hairdresser and did all the old ladies’ hair from around the neighborhood. Once in a while I would go there for a cut as well. She went to hairdresser school but it was vastly outdated and it showed in the “coupe”. She was great for the older ladies their perms and cut but with my very flat (sleak? Don’t know the term, “sluik haar”) but even trimming the ends was… not her forté 🙈 but me not having to torture myself (due to my chronic illnesses that pose is utter torture). So each time I didn’t have to experience that at a washing bassin it was worth it so I was grateful every time she wanted to do it. But the papers of the perms, when this was explained that those are necessary, it was pure nostalgia to those simpler times not ruined by the later… uhm… “stuff” in life. Thanks for giving me back some neutral memories to thin out the bad ones. We always tend to forget the positive memories more than the negative ones. I get it’s because they hurt and therefore “cut” deeper but still, never too much positive memories ❤ Sorry if this was too off topic but I felt like it was worth mentioning My hair has a very stubborn “memory” aspect, what I mean is that I just need to wrap, braid or roll it up while wet and if I want it to last until the next wash cycle, I leave it like that overnight and it will soften a bit each day but it will stay. But knowing how many older ladies have never done perms until their old age (with thinned out hair mostly), I do wonder, if I do reach such an age, whether I will want to start doing my hair in perms (I assume my hair will start to loose that resilience to keep that “pattern” I let it dry in because every aspect of us gets older so of course, hair as well) so I’ll still watch these, I’ll never get too educated ❤
Haha "get up and let's go!" ...that's what I'm doing but my hair is naturally straight and on the thin side. I always leave a braid for the night and thats giving me a bit of movement, I'm satisfied 🥰😘
Even natural curls or waves take work. I air dry mine straight, and the result can be anything from 1920s Marcel waves,to frizz, to Louis 14th ringlet curls. Mostly dependant on the weather. I rarely use a heated tool.
As someone with thick natural curls, the care and maintenence is horrendous. 2 Japanese straightening treatments and weekly flat ironing = the best thing I ever did.
I would never attempt to do a perm at home. But I have super straight finer hair that doesn’t hold a curl with conventional methods and a can of hairspray. I am also having oily hair that gets flat fast. I had a perm done on my natural hair in a salon that specializes in perm. First was the classic technique where the rods were rolled more horizontal to your head and the second time I had the spiral rods done. I prefer the spiral rods type as the curl looks more natural and hangs out better blending better with the regrowth. It is a lot of maintenance and I do a shorter curly girl routine. However I can also just wash and go and have more frizzy, puffy hair which I as a super straight hair type love. Also washing the hair went from nearly daily to two times a week. I keep my hair between chin and shoulder length and trim regularly as the hair is more fragile and tends to break off. It was fun but I am growing in out now and plan on getting a heat styler and just do a blowout occasionally. It is also very expensive to get it at a good salon. I remember I had a colleague that actually had a shorter poodle perm and always was blowing it out to have that full body volume that men had in the 80 s. She totally loved it. So in the end I don’t think perms are so bad but I love the 80s and would only do it on 100% natural otherwise untreated hair.
GOOD SAID! I have long, curly, frizzy, wavy hair and it's a torture to keep it. I do at home keratin treatment to discipline it. Yes I always wait one month after dyed it and I wait another month after the treatment, before to dye it again xD
"what do I have to lose?"
"A lot of hair!"

The second woman didn't apply the wrong product. She mixed it properly the first time and applied it and then she went to apply a second box and mixed that incorrectly. She didn't use it, which is why she said she hopes her hair is saturated enough.
I came to say this same thing.

I wonder why her hair didn't work out then? The saturation issue? 🤔

We went down the line, great grandma did my grandmother's and then my grandma did hers plus my mom's and mine!
People don't read instructions anymore. They think it's magic.
I remember back in the day (80s 🤫) when I was getting a perm, the stylist would towel dry each of the curlers after rinsing the perm solution so the water wouldn't dilute the neutralizer. THAT was very important.
Yeah even sometimes we will use paper towels too as an addition to the towel as well I learned that from some of the more seasoned stylist I worked with
I LOVE the smell of perms. It reminds me of going to the salon with my grandmother. Her perm, not mine.
Thank You for acknowledging that managing my curly hair is not an easy task!
My nose will always remember the perm stench from 30 years ago. Age and blood pressure medication have finally given me the curls that all that stinky chemical exposure couldn't quite achieve.
Same. My mom permed her hair religiously. Ugh.
Putrid odor! 😖
@@MsLt1982 Yes, it was. 🤢🤢🤢
Your BP medication helps to make your hair wavy/curly? I’ve definitely noticed that menopause has made my hair wavier, but didn’t know about BP meds. Thankfully don’t need those yet. I’d love to hear more about your experience.
I take Valsartan and I’m almost 49 and have lots of white and silver hair and my straight hair is SO WAVY now!!
Exactly! Retired hairstylist here too!
@lilolmecj my mother ruined my hair when I was roughly 10 by perming it at home. Some sciences are not for the "layman". 💜
Me too! 2nd grade was brutal!
😂😂😂I had the brilliant idea to cut my long hair to a bob and get a perm in 6th grade. I looked like an electrified poodle😂😂😂😂❤😊
❤ Belgium.
Perms reminded me of beauty school a million years ago. I could roll them with my eyes closed knowing I’d NEVER do another once I graduated 😹
I love Hair Budda " Talk to the first girl " 😂😂😂
One can really see he is a real hairdresser because when he speaks about hair he even imagines rolling the hair in his hands 😂
I remember everyone perming their hair in the 80's,that was the look back then. Curls are a lot of work and they go flat sleeping on them and your hair sticks up in places when you wake up.takes products and patience to get it back to decent looking curls.
Omggg that tiktok you showed at the beginning! I’ve never seen a perm that looked so good before!
I love how she thinks that curls just "happen" and are lovely and perfect. 😂
I HATE it.
I never knew all of the time, energy, and patience that is needed for a perm! Thank you for enlightening us non professionals!
Monday mornings are for Hair Buddha & ☕️. My fav ❤
A lot of work goes into curly hair…..truest statement ever!😊
Here to defend the home perm🙋♀️
I have done several and they have turned out great…..but I have my best friend who was a stylist to teach me how to do it properly.
Love it! First Attempt in Learning…..FAIL
Love seeing you every Monay 💜
I use to give my mom perms in the 80's & 90's. They always turned out nice.
Thank you! Yes curly hair is not a get up and go! And the knots some morning, lord!
Thank You HB!❤️
My mother was a beautician from Japan.
When I was little, I had long wavy hair. However, my mother got tired of brushing it out all the time so she gave me a pixie cut and permed my hair. God it was awful.
In my 20's I used to perm my long hair. It took almost all day to roll my hair up and go through the process.
I'm 63 now and my hair goes down to my waist.
Haven't permed it in forever.
I can braid it, wear it in a bun, a ponytail - works for me.
I'm 53 and same, it's like a limb that I would miss if it was cut lol
Truth!!!!
When you think you're good enough to be a hairdresser, you deserve the results you get.
I have permed hair and if it's done correclty and on healthy hair it can be so beautiful and natural looking with the right care and hair products.
😂😂😂 the last perm was hilarious. Mixing two wrong liquids
You are hilarious 😂😂😂. I love u
Great advice & thanks Hair Buddha ✂️😊
you are a wealth of great information to us at home hair brigade....thank you sir
🙈
I don’t understand if they are so afraid of doing the perm why do it 🤔 another great enjoyable video Hair Buddha ❤️
I used to perm my kinky hair to tame my curls so they were simpler to manage and fairy knotted less…it was helpful.
I have curly hair. Believe me, I can't just get up out of bed and go to work. There's an awful lot of work I have to do to it first.
Same! And if it's humid outside, you've done everything for nothing. Helloooo Frizz, after 0,1 seconds outside 😂😂😂
@@EllenBZ Haha, yes! Instant frizz!
Than you hair budah👍
Many years ago, a hairdresser told me to put a relaxer on my perm that was too tight. My hair stretched off lol I had to nearly shave my head. Lesson well learned.
My maid of honor did the same thing to her hair a couple of weeks before the wedding. She looked like Billy Idol's sister. 😂
@@lifeinpodunkville543 omg 😂 poor thing
This comment sent a shiver down my spine lol
I have not been to school to become a hairdresser, so that's why I go to a hairdresser!
Love these videos 🎉
Hey hair Buddha, I just wanted to leave a comment to say I love your videos, and I always find them incredibly useful/informational as well as entertaining!
I cut my boyfriend’s hair (he has long hair) and I used to follow Brad mondo’s tutorial with the little ponytails, but the line never came out straight and I always had to go back in and do it in sections. I felt like I was doing something wrong, but your explanation as to why it doesn’t work makes so much sense, I wanted to say thank you so much for taking the time to teach us how to cut hair properly!
*I was wondering whether you’d ever do a video about how to properly care for your hair and recommend some products (like shampoos and conditioners) or tools for different hair types, including people with very sensitive skin?*
I know there are a few hairdressers doing this on TH-cam already but a lot of them are trying to sell their own line of products/are promoting brands that they are affiliated with or they are American and recommend products that can’t be readily found in Europe.
I’m currently stuck using baby shampoo because it’s the only thing that doesn’t upset my skin 🤦♀️
You always mention how your salon tries to use gentle products even for colouring, so I was thinking that you might also know some good haircare products with gentle formulas!
HAH! I have naturally curly hair.
You should see me in the morning. Simba has competition 😂
Medusa is my competition.
Used “ pin up “ perms in the 70’s many a time always had great results, daughters wanted ‘ Madonna’s curls and pin up came through 👍👍👍👍
I wonder if any of these folks have tried doing the "curl overnight" thing...
"what do i have to lose at this point"
"A lot of hair, ask the first girl."
HB never fails to make me laugh with the saltiness
Thank goodness, I am over that now
hi hair Buddha.I really missed your channel.I have been a bit quiet lately!Self perm at home is not a safe thing to do😲Loveto you and your beautifull family🌋🌀❄❤
your video and the one from brad mondo today worked so nice together 😅 he did at home relaxing videos 😁
The second one mixed the SECOND bottle wrong and realised before she put it on, the first that was already on her hair was fine friend
I get it’s because they hurt and therefore “cut” deeper but still, never too much positive memories ❤
Sorry if this was too off topic but I felt like it was worth mentioning
My hair has a very stubborn “memory” aspect, what I mean is that I just need to wrap, braid or roll it up while wet and if I want it to last until the next wash cycle, I leave it like that overnight and it will soften a bit each day but it will stay.
