- This 2017 Ford Ranger owns a 3.2 diesel engine designed to do the heavy lifting. Just like any other vehicle, it requires maintenance, including the fuel filter, which should be done on a regular basis to help protect the tightly machined tolerances of the fuel system components.
You may think that this is just a basic filter change, but a simple photo can make the difference between getting it right the first time or having a really bad day.
Even after the filter is replaced, it’s easy to have starting issues. There are a few suggestions in the video that will make the job easier for you.

I guess part of the problem is that some technicians don't explain clearly the actual service requirements needed for their customers' vehicle.
How often should I replace the fuel filter?
For this specific vehicle, according to the manufacturer's schedule, it should be replaced at every 30,000Km or 24 months. This of course will vary on the quality of fuel etc in your area.
