There are some brilliant musicians out there that are truly exceptional players, and there are also a few people that are multi-talented and more or less produce their work entirely by themselves, but Kate and Steve do it all and they do it all better than everybody else Well, everybody else except for Melanie, who joined them with her self produced first album at age 18. She even pretty much self produces her videos too. Her FIRST ALBUM!!! which is absolutely amazing art on all levels. I mean if it was just her lyrics in the form of poetry it would still be astounding art of immense depth and beauty, but she sings them with such depth and beauty, she wrote the music they go with, and played the instruments, with yes, great depth and great beauty, and those two things are what separates great art from just art. Great art has great beauty that is of a great depth. It keeps on giving you more the more time you spend with it, AND it gives you things the artist doesn't even know their subconscious put into it. It continues to grow and evolve while at the same time not actually changing, and eventually it lives on long after they are no more. Some people might think that her music isn't "Serious enough" and "It's too modern" and "too popular" to be called truly great. People once said that of Mozart in regards to the "Barber of Seville" and "The Marriage of Figaro", which musically are no less of quality than the 21st piano concerto and the 25th Symphony and have more innovative and complex timings.
