It made no sense why they made the first season about a girl who killed herself and then brought out other seasons that had absolutely nothing to do with her death and only her coming into clays mind
Well that was Netfix. The source of the series which is a book is just the season one of the series. It's just clay going through the tapes.
Because Hannah’s tapes provided the storyline. Even tho the tapes explain why she killed herself other people like Jessica and Bryce haven’t been brought to light yet in season 1 therefore on why the story makes sense.

Justin had no reason to get arrested. Bruce kicked him out and rapped Jessica.
He basically said bryce did it and he was there and watched providing the evidence bit also incriminating himself
Technically, he didn’t report Bryce, which means he’s an accessory. Unfortunately, an accessory can be someone that didn’t even know they were helping a criminal. For example, if you drive the criminal, they steal something and you drive them away, even if you didn’t know their intentions, you’ll get arrested for helping out

The first season of 13 reasons was one of the finest seasons of a show I have ever seen. It had great characters, a compelling story and was very well acted. It was also one of the few shows to get a genuine emotional reaction out of me. After her conversation with the school counselor and he let her leave I wanted to go threw the screen and kick his ass.
Then each season got progressively worse. 2 was ok ish, 3 was bad, and 4 was horrific.
I only kept watching to honor the first season.
Nothing more true could say how i also handled the show, I feel like the actors got a good start from it so all in all beneficial for them.
2 was a bit worse, 3 was much worse, but 4 actually wasn't as bad ngl since it just showed how everyone was recovering and moving on

This show turned so unrealistic because they combined too many social issues into one place
I mean these things exist and do happen but the scale and magnitude with which it was shown in this show was a bit too much all at once

If they had left this show at 2 seasons, what happened after the tapes got to Clay and how he deals with the psychological trauma of losing a friend, that would’ve been a bomb series, but instead they diluted the whole point to these Euphoria type teenagers who are doing all this wild shit that has nothing to do with the initial premise

Sure they may have done the first season about the girl who killed herself and made other seasons about other stuff but knowing how the internet is with these things, yall would've gotten bored if they made it about just the girl who killed herself. In reality, people tend to forget or just move on from grief quickly. I was in 9th grade when we got the news that a junior killed himself, people talked about it for a week and then it was as if nothing happened.

Everything went downhill as soon as Bryce and Jessica entered the story. It was supposed to be about a girl who died. But I'm seeing connections to specific characters just because of what Hannah said happened. There is more to this story than just a suicide.
