when Vanitas was saying why would anyone love him, and Showed how he felt about himself. Made me really sad about him of how no one would see as a person. He Believed himself he doesn’t deserve love but he does.
I probably would have done the same like Roland or even hug him too.

Roland is one of my favorite characters in anime, I very rarely see a villain that so thoroughly despises the mc and friends, convinced that he was in the wrong and end up helping them. Made me strangely happy to see reasoning actually worked for once.
It was literally as simple as Roland having an open mind. He was brought up to believe vampires were all evil. When noe shows him something different, his genuinely curiosity makes him rethink his teachings and make his own decisions. His character ark is basically what we wish people on Twitter would do. Admit when your wrong and use actual evidence

The chills i felt when Vanitas said that out loud.. is not easy to admit that feeling to others, people always end up looking at you with a scared or weirded out expression

I think Roland will end up being one of the most trustworthy characters tbh, I expect that the ones we shouldn't trust are less obvious and closer to the main characters.

The author was very good at making Roland look like an irritating puppet in the hands of the church, then he managed to completely reverse the situation. Roland alternates comic moments with very serious moments that make him look super cool! He is now one of my favorite characters in the series!

Roland being a puppet for the church at the beginning made me react just the same as Vanitas did. But then he changed and was able to reason by himself so he immediately became one of my favs. Jun Mochizuki is very good at writing characters!

I was so surprised how much I loved this series when I watched it, I watched all of part 2 in 1 sitting thats how much I couldn't stop watching. Its actually one of my favorite anime in years, I even made a video on it so I HIGHLY recommend it guys.
