      We are pretty busy, but not to the point that we are seriously looking at an evening shift. It does make you think of the possibilities though. This might be a good option for taking back some of the winter work day that we loose with little sun and extreme cold in the morning.

    sponsored by Milwaukee, thousands in their products to showcase their professional quality, uses Husqvarna top handle even though there is a Milwaukee top handle on site lol. Well played. Cool Video. I can see legitimately using lights for doing storm damage work or special jobs with unique parameters. Thanks for including the stuck saw and pointing it out with the freeze frame. I couldn't tell if you had a notch and you just bypasses the hinge or were just doing snap/bypass cuts on those chunks. For those wondering, if doing snap/bypass cuts, avoid the chunk from grabbing your bar by having your second cut lower than your first, or another way to phrase it is have your second cut made closer to the part of the tree that will be stationary when the cut piece moves. Then if the bar gets stuck in the kerf, its on the trunk, or the part that's not moving when the piece falls. If you are using a notch, just don't cut through the hinge.
    I have the Milwaukee top handle. I dig it. Just got the dual battery ground saw last week. Haven't used it much yet but from what I've seen the limiting factor will be batteries on hand, not durability of the saw.
    Edit: And noise ordinance? Did you not chip that material or use trucks to haul out the wood while dark? Legit curious.

      Thanks for the feedback! I love the Milwaukee products, but the T542i is my favorite top handle out there. The Milwaukee top handle has some serious power, but there is some room for improvement in the egos.
      I did have a notch, but by back cut was way high with a slight dutch on the far side. Poor poor cut! Noise ordinances in that municipality is 10:00 PM, but we wanted to make sure that all of the chipping was completed by 8:00 PM. I don't think we will implement this style of work very often, but we may for storm work, or if we are extending the day a few hours during the winter time.

    And ladies and gentlemen you get your saw grabbed like that when you cut too high above your notch it's an accident sometimes it happens but case anybody is wondering God bless

    How long was the Oregon bar in the saw at the end of

      Joey, ,Thanks for watching! That is a 24" bar. It handled it pretty well with the 12.0 Forges. We did the entire tree with 4 12.0 Forges and 2 8.0 Forges.

      @@RootedArboristsdid you convert it to 3/8 or is it a custom chain as the saw is stock with .325

    • @RootedArborists
      @RootedArborists  8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      That one we converted to 3/8, but the saw was a pre-production tester. The new saws have a different sprocket configuration. I believe they are working on a 24" .325 050 set up with Oregon. We will keep you posted as we here new info.

    Just curious customers obviously don't care and neighbors that you're making noise at night time when they're trying to sleep I've never heard of this I've been cutting trees for 22 years climbing I've never seen Tree Care done at night except if it was an emergency storm damage of course

      It was a project we did in conjunction with the HOA. We finished all chipping before 8:00. The loading point was up the see wall out near the main road, so loading the logs on the trailer pretty quite as well. The L28 is significantly quieter than our MTOO or Vermeer 925. We also used all battery OPE, so it was a pretty quite site. The neighbors actually held viewing parties haha. Unfortunately it was to cold for them to be out on the boats!
