As someone who only watched the Wizards because of Deni Avdija, I am happy to announce that I won't have to suffer anymore🙏🙌 About the Deni trade: I strongly believe it was a Win-Win. Portland- gave up Brogdon (Not in the long term plans+Clearing up minutes for Scoot Sharpe and Simons), the 14th pick (they couldn't draft a player better than Deni) and the second best pick from the 3 they have in 2029 (I think). Not to much for Deni who could be the future 3/4. The other Winner is... Deni - he went from a bad team with no Future to a bad team who showed flashes of a future🤣 Oh yeah the Wizards just lost the trade
@@_AVC_ They at least have a future (potentially). They have young players that can be "stars". Nobody can compare Scoot/Simons/Sharpe/Clingan to Billal and Sarr (only players you might say can be Great)... That's improvement in my eyes (for Deni).
Yeah the 14th seed makes sense, the wizards just need leadership, and to actually have order. Brogdons a fine pg however he does have issues staying on the court especially last yr. Jonas will be traded this yr like u said hes there for the paycheck. Poole needs to do better with decision making, shot selection, being consistent and until he can make adjustments then the wizards have to eat his contract. Kuzma has some issues ofc like shot selection but like u said if hes on the right team it would be good because hes skilled and can do different things. Hopefully the wizards can develop these young guys they have. if the heat could also manage to snag corey kispert in that trade u made id also love that. Heat receive: kuzma, kispert, anthony gill Wizards receive: robinson, love, highsmith, richardson, 2029 first (if the hornets receive the heats 2027 pick) and either a 28/or 30 swap. if the heat 2027 pick to hornets dont convert and instead its the 28 pick then the heat could send a 2030 first with a 2029 swap to wizards. Heat can toss the only 2 seconds they have as well
I don't beleive i"ve actually watched a video of 40÷ minutes about wizards)) Hope you didn't suffer too much observing them. If i were you i" d feel kinda hero after finishing this preview)
You talked about the Wizards and Hornets being bad at developing players. Which organizations are best at developing players and what makes the difference? Head coaches, staff, management decisions regarding fit? What is the special sauce for you?
@@kneelpdx1 Great question! Culture is obviously the buzz word that gets thrown around so much, but so much goes into that. I like to think that it all starts from setting clear expectations with clear consequences to those expectations that are executed on each and every time. Miami being a good example, OKC, Indiana, Utah, San Antonio. Those are the ones that come to mind in particular. I’ve seen enough of those franchises on the inside to know they don’t mess around. Indiana actually makes you clock in everyday haha.
@@_AVC_ Troy bid against himself, for sure. When Bagley first came, he looked good for a while being Cade's only lob threat. Troy then gave him that extension. 😅 they're now reunited in Was.
@@_AVC_ i mean i think they can obviously trade kuzma and brogdon for firsts , jonas possibly for 2nd rounders he doesn’t fit the timeline and the Knicks need a back up, and i dont think any team is interested in poole so theyre stuck w him 😅
Alright… what are the expectations for the Wizards this year?
they're two lead guys have chips. that's usually a good indicator
