My favorite is DKC2 because of the best music and unique worlds (gigantic beehives, pirate ships, and crystal Caves) and also you kinda get to see more of the Kongs like Dixie to rescue DK for the first time, but having all 4 Kongs is something I think we all need, not just here, but also in Smash Bros.

The jumping feels a bit heavy and the roll-jump and momentum of the old games are nonexistent. It’s not bad controls just different, fun once you get used to it. Great visuals and music, too!

Man, I love how fresh and creative this is! You combine so many mechanics from all the games, plus make new ones! Also, just when I was wondering, "Can't you just kill the Kloak in the bonus stage?" but WOW, you answered my question! XD
4:50 Super clever bonus game but you should either replace the final steel keg with a TNT barrel or replace the Red Buzz, or replace the Red Buzz with a stationary Koindozer if you want to force the player to attack it from behind. Otherwise it might confuse players who are used to DKC3's enemy mechanics...
I have mixed feelings about this. On one hand, more representation for DKC is always good. On the other hand, there are noticeable issues. The foreground seems cluttered at times and with odd choices like spikes. One of the minigame's background didn't look like it rendered properly. The steel barrel is a poor choice to kill the red zinger since they were immune to them in previous games (TNT barrel is preferable). The visual choices overall feel just dropped in without much thought to theme and don't flow well, which DKC games excelled at. Little is shown of team moves and DK isn't shown doing any, which is something most would want to see since DK never had team moves in DKC games. Overall, this level feels like a DKC fan just mixed up a bunch of DKC series content with a little thought to theme and platforming design. If they toned down the amount of stuff they put into the level, restrict it to a specific theme, while adding something new, which all DKC games did, this would look a lot better. I'd be down with playing a DKC4, but it needs to do the series justice and this video doesn't.
agreed. some of the level designs just dont make sense together. like why is there a golden coal cart in a beehive? it doesn't follow the original level design in any way. some of these levels are just a mashup of the things you can find in all 3 games. there's no rhyme or reason to it. also, not sure I agree with a red parrot shooting 3 eggs either. makes it too OP. just stick with green or purple.
I think the foreground harzards are meant to give this stage an illusion gimmick and overall make the stage seem more perilous than something you can just sprint through. I see what they were going for, but in practice, using the exact same texture for things that cannot harm the player just seems a bit lazy- even though the out-of-focus effect and perspective shifting works well to clue the player in... I think including more variations in the spike textures would salvage this stage gimmick, but it's hard to say.

Very cool level design, very good song. If I could say one thing, the spacing of the Kong letters wasn’t great. For an 8 minute level you get the letter O after 19 of starting the level. But that’s just a nitpick awesome level
I don't think the background rendered properly in the "Destroy Them All" bonus room where you toss barrels over the red Buzz and bounce them off mushrooms to destroy the Flitters...
There are a few things I need to point out in this video. For one, steel barrels do NOT kill the red Buzzers, only TNT. Secondly, I like the idea of bouncing mushrooms, but we already have tires in the official games, so why not create something original instead of ripping an asset from Super Mario. Thirdly, there are a lot of issues I see with the spikes in this level that do not work this way here, as they do in DKC2. Fourth and finally, combining the brambles with the jungle theme doesn't work in my opinion. They might look great together, and the brambles are plants so it makes sense, but at the same time, bramble levels have completely different music, gimmicks, animal buddies, and not to mention enemies like Kannons and Krooks. Edit: I forgot to mention this as well, but this level is way too long. Most DKC levels don't even last 3 minutes unless the gimmick revolves around you slowing down like water levels and low gravity. And even then, those levels don't last nearly as long as this.

Nice Idee, but too much Kongs only two like in the original parts 1-3 ,the enemys i miss the concept of new types or choose one from DKC /2 or 3 but not a mix of all. And by the level desing one desing is enough not mixing from all parts, look like no idee of new levels. look likes no own idee.

It's a bit repetitive and long (99 second bonus game??!!). Just throwing the barrels twice would be good enough to get the gimmick across.
