- Comments to the media by Gilad Erdan, Permanent Representative of Israel to the United Nations, on the admission of new members, prior to the Security Council meeting.
Israel Ambassador Gilad Erdan stated, “From well before the establishment of the UN, the Palestinians goal has been clear: the annihilation of the Jews.”
He also said, “This won't be a regular state, it will be a ‘Palestinazi’ state, an entity that achieved statehood despite being committed to terror and Israel's annihilation.”
Yes, your state is held to a different standard, allowed to be inhumane by west.

Would you agree that international NGOs and non-state run media outlets are the most reliable sources for unbiased information on the subject? Also, I guess a clear agreement on the meaning of "oppressed" would help here. Do we include the destruction of olive farms belonging to Palestinians in the West Bank and Smotrich (a settler himself) calling for a ban of olive farming close to Israeli settlements, which are internationally accepted as illegal? Or his call for "sterile" zones close to settlements and their access roads where Palestinians are forbidden? This is not far from reality already, where Palestinians often are routed through long routes to get from place to place where settlers can take the direct route and save up to hours in comparison. Often with little to no justification given.
Do you agree that oppression recognized in other areas of the world should be a good metric for how we determine oppression in the case of Israel, lest we fall into double standards?

The UN has ignored Israel's contraventions of International law since 1948 because USA and UK said it was ok. The UK has allowed Israel to seize territory by force over the years so that 78% of original Palestine has now gone to to Israel who are only 45% of the population.

Rewriting history and telling lies about an entire people in order to suppress their rights should be criminal in the same way defamation/libel is. Before the creation of the UN, Palestinian people were just living on their land minding their own business. Then the colonizing power gave away enormous parts of their land to foreigners from Europe and the UN recognized the nation status of those newly arrived European foreigners, but didn't give the same respect to the Palestinians.
