  • So our customer brought back his Katana after doing some more mods to it. He was looking to get a touch up tune for the mods he had done.
    Immediately we saw the Air/Fuel ratio was off, and was going to need to be corrected. After that, we were able to get him more power and more smiles😁

    I'm sure glad his cat delete is a much smoother flow than mine with the H-pipe.
    You're right, Chad, when you say that most people just look at the peak power numbers. Just look at the gains made from the low to high rpms. That's the drivability range. Makes it more fun.

      Yeah, this one is just a single pipe from the header back. So it is a smooth flow. And it had already been proven by another shop, so I knew it would make power.
      Yours on the other hand is a 4-2. And no one other than Suzuki and Kawasaki has developed a good pipe. Anything modifying them kills power, and even aftermarket Headers lose power.
      The only way to make more power is with a 4-2-1.

      Without the overlay, I had no clue that it had only made more power at peak. I knew it was down a little on torque, but it was also lean there. It literally only made more power at peak. Lol

    I like that camera

      Yeah, it's super cool. It's not idea for shooting videos in the shop, but for riding on the street, I think it's going to be awesome.
      I got me another microphone on the way, so I can Vlog with my GoPro I already have. I'll just have to get an Insta 360 once I get the money saved up.

    Do i need a remap or retune after installing a yoshimura r11 and full system titanium exhaust. ?

      Yes you do... But I no longer work on motorcycles. If you're looking for an ECU flash, I would recommend Moore Mafia. He used to do all of mine before I had the stuff to do it.

    I have a question for you Chad. Why is there no forced air going into the intake on bikes that have forced air intake snorkels? Like a Busa or 14. Would this not improve power numbers? A leaf blower would be able to duplicate this effect. I'm just curious and have wondered this.

    • @TEAMWRIGHTEOUS
      @TEAMWRIGHTEOUS  ปีที่แล้ว

      There are some people who dyno them that way, but it's just there to boost their numbers.
      The stock ecu already compensates for it so as you pickup speed, the bike increases fuel delivery.
      If it's on a serious race application, you would data log it and adjust the fuel by gear as needed.

    Nope think I'll stick with the stock filter. Seems like it's doing its job?

    • @TEAMWRIGHTEOUS
      @TEAMWRIGHTEOUS  ปีที่แล้ว

      The stock filters are the best option besides these. The filters you have to oil are a pain to clean and they restrict air flow.

    • @TEAMWRIGHTEOUS
      @TEAMWRIGHTEOUS  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you were out on the desert, then I would run them. They have the issues with sand getting into the engines. Then the oiled filters would contain the sand. You would just have to clean them often.
