I think what really makes Michael brilliant is that he's such an acute observer of people. All the little things we say and do each day, but he makes it hilarious.
I think Michael is so appealing because he really likes people. He laughs about little common things that everyone laughs about privately or the origins of characteristics in a culture which are a source of humor to members of that culture. His Scottish monologue, which was filmed before a Scottish audience, is filled with shots of his audience rocking with laughter and folks wiping tears from their eyes! He is all about having fun.
I woke up from a "he's cheating on me" dream once. Punched him in the arm then stormed off to sleep on the couch. As I was trying to get comfy on the couch, I realized it was just a bad dream. Luckily, he was able to laugh about it once he was more awake and less confused.
Had to pause it right before the end because I started laughing out loud on the bus. He's always great but this was amazing. Right up there with the dentist skit.

The best thing about Michael is depending upon the kind of day I had I can always find just the right video to watch that related to my awful day and end up laughing about it. Because he has had the same experience at least once before too! And he as usual turned it into a hysterical skit! Michael is just the very best!!

When he said to send one of the children it reminded me of a story my mum's always told me since i was little of when it was just her and her mum in the house and they heard a massive bang so they started walking down stairs and my mum said, 'what are we actually going to do if there's someone down there, I'm a child' and my gran just goes, 'you're right, *shoves my mum infront of her* they won't hurt a child'
He reminds me so much of my sisters husband , he can make a joke of the weirdest things! He’s hilarious and we love going to visit, my sister on the other hand is a professional eye roller, though laughs as much as we do and loves it, even if she pretends not to!! But genuinely, he is so funny, just hasn’t ever had the urge to go on stage! Such a pity as I’m sure he’d do so well!
I'm lucky enough to have 2 son in laws. Who are both hilarious. And when they get together its brilliant. I love them both dearly. And I know they love me.
