      Thank you, the video doesn't do this camera justice. The actual quality of this backup cam is very comparable to factory installed backup cams used today in most vehicles.

    If the press button o ignitor can switch between back and front camera, it would be more helpful.

      I'm sorry, just align the 4 tabs up on the suction mount with the 4 slots on the monitor and slide up until you hear a slight click. Thanks for watching.

    Anyway to remap the activation button? my cigarette lighter is inside that armrest console which will be closed. Would be awesome if I could press a button on the monitor to activate it !

    • @DeanoOutDoors
      @DeanoOutDoors  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not sure about that, but you could try using a Cigarette Lighter Splitter, like this amzn.to/47s1wAM
      that way it could be located outside your console.

      You could try contacting the company. I’m not sure if you can find that plug somewhere online, but it’s worth a try. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help.

    I watched your video and bought the camera based on your comments. Unfortunately when I received the cameras (I bought 2 of them) the license plate bracket did not fit. So I went back to watch your video and realized Canadian plates and US Plates have different bolt hole spacing. Canada is 6.5" and US is 7". I live in the US so my brackets did not fit. The manufacturer does not make a 7" bracket and they refused to warranty the unit if I drilled one hole in each bracket to make them fit. So I returned the units. This is unfortunate because I would have liked to try it out.

    • @DeanoOutDoors
      @DeanoOutDoors  ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m sorry to hear that they did not fit properly. That’s strange though as I live in the US as well and they fit my vehicles, two different brands, just fine. I also installed one on my side x side which is awesome to have. Thanks for sharing this comment with us. I’ll look into this to see if the manufacturer has changed something since my video came out.

    What is the small screw and Allen wrench (in a bag) for?

    • @DeanoOutDoors
      @DeanoOutDoors  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not sure, mine did not include those. Perhaps they added a security screw for the solar camera mount.

    Thanks for the review, just bought this camera. How long has each charge lasted you?

    • @DeanoOutDoors
      @DeanoOutDoors  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I charge it up about once per month wether I need to or not. But this will vary from person to person. My vehicle is parked outside up to 12 hours at a time so my camera is getting a good amount of solar recharge.

    • @DeanoOutDoors
      @DeanoOutDoors  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This model camera does not give an audible sound. What you are hearing in the video is my vehicles backup sensors beeping.

  • @christinekatz6847
    @christinekatz6847 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Do you have to turn the camera on at the back of your car each time you want to use it or the camera always stays on? Thanks

    • @DeanoOutDoors
      @DeanoOutDoors  ปีที่แล้ว

      The camera will always be in stand by mode or on and ready to pair to your monitor unless you manually turn it off or the battery gets depleted.

  • @madeinhungary

  • @richarddriscoll4482
    @richarddriscoll4482 ปีที่แล้ว

    I seen after you installed yours and you tried it when backing up it was making a sound when you get close to something but mine doesn’t do that doesn’t have built-in sound when you get close to something to let you know you’re close to hitting it?

    • @richarddriscoll4482
      @richarddriscoll4482 ปีที่แล้ว

      Is there sound to let you know when you’re getting close to something along with the camera because in your video when you was backing and got close, it sound like a back up alarm came on to let you know you was close to something but mine I can’t get it to do that

    • @DeanoOutDoors
      @DeanoOutDoors  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, there is no audible alarm from this backup camera. That sound you heard in the video was my trucks built in backup sensors alerting me that I am getting closer to an object. This camera will only show you your position, it will not give an audible. You can adjust the grid lines though, to show you how close you are to the object, red being closer. Hope this clarifies.

      It wasn’t bad, it’s not going to be as high quality as factory install backup cams, but it sure is better then having no camera. Thanks for watching !

  • @2cats1guy

    Is it really all those steps to switch view to front camera or is that just for initial pairing? I would expect it to be a 1 button switch instead of going through a menu.

    • @DeanoOutDoors
      @DeanoOutDoors  ปีที่แล้ว

      There are three steps to switch between the cameras. Press the mode button, select pair and the choose the camera you would like to use. It will stay on that camera until you go thru these steps again and select the other camera. Yes, a single button feature would have been nice, but it takes only a couple seconds to switch between the two. Thanks for viewing!

    • @NoReply28
      @NoReply28 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is actually a button the you can press and hold for 3sec to switch between camera.

    How did you get rid of the “Note” on the monitor? Mine stays on in the background of the camera and then shuts my camera off and only shows the “Note - please fully charge the camera for 1st time use.” Camera is fully charged, just can’t get rid of this damn note screen.

    • @DeanoOutDoors
      @DeanoOutDoors  ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m not sure, I didn’t have this show up on my screen. The first time I powered it up it connect right to the camera. I would try contacting the manufacturer. Sorry I can’t be of more help, if I find out more info, I’ll respond back to your comment, if you get it figured out, please let us know.

    is the red light supposed to stay on or flash or anything while it's charging for the first time?

    • @DeanoOutDoors
      @DeanoOutDoors  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You should see a red status light on the camera while charging. That light should turn green when it is fully charged.

    Now that you've been using it awhile, how is the cameras battery life? Also I dont remember you mentioning how good the night time image quality is?

    • @DeanoOutDoors
      @DeanoOutDoors  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Thanks for the comment. The battery life is very good as long as your camera is getting full sun during the daytime hours. I had recently installed this on my UTV for easier backing up during the plowing season and it’s working awesome. But the battery needs to be recharged every few weeks now due to my machine being garaged. The night time imaging is good as long as your backup bulbs in your vehicle are bright enough. I run LED back up bulbs so there was no problem there. Overall, a great camera and simple to install.

      Your welcome! No, there is no audible when getting near an object. But you can adjust the lines to your need so you could see when you are getting too close to something.
