@@briandelaney9710 Yet Ena's character demonstrates not one iota of Christian blood in her here, instead, deliberately intimidating Emily Nugent with the fear of a repeat robbery, after realising that Ms Nugent was already anxious.............
19:38 Len Fairclough’s (Peter Adamson’s) words were chillingly prophetic..😳😱 spooky.. Something along the lines of ‘I’d have to tell lies, (like Dennis Tanner) when I find a little girl I fancy.’ 🙊🙈
A Corrie 'event-incident-tragedy' lasts between 3-5 episodes approx & these jumping episodes step stones here just plonks you into them like a leaping 🐸frog!
I disagree about Ena, i think she th9ught highly of Elsie at the end, I felt she was very concerned about Elsie and her welfare, a surrogate daughter maybe.
21.15 After speaking to Len, Kens father turns around to walk out and bumps into Ken and says " Are you looking for me Len" use to Elsies constant Fluffs when she's trying to reel of her lines quickly. Back then it was fairly common, just learn lines, dress rehearsal and filmed
Elsie does trip over her lines as they come out like a machine gun rat-tat-ta-tat.. but as in real life she just carries on without stopping unlike today's lot who titter immediately for outtakes shows. You show 'em Elsie gal..
Mavis & Elsie have same hairstyles that's nice but firmly 1950s & takes some doing that it's so complicated looking, still our girls Cilla-Sandie-Petula-Lulu will change all that won't they (a certain Dusty's Beehive was something else!).
Yes Elsie was the queen of fluffing her lines whilst trying to reel off her dialogue as quickly as possible, read my above comment where I noticed Kens father call Him Len

Dialogue was constantly cut to fit running times - perhaps Pat Phoenix thought if she spoke fast she wouldn't have her part reduced - the character was definitely a favourite of Tony Warren
That Dennis is a right sneaky layabout.Poor Elsie needed better family as she was a decent person.Love these old,old episode, thanks for showing them.
Ena would disagree about Elsie as a decent person ;)
We can lay about my apartment anytime yummy

Emily bishops facial expression still hasn’t changed

Andrew Parker I felt the same.
😱😱
The infamous swimming baths episode was never shown. Lol
Yeh exactly....I thought that....always a paedophile
A nice cuppa tea, a dimp and a good cough !
I see the director of this episode was Gerard Dynevor. The father in law of Sally Dynevor (Sally Webster).

@Coronation Street Storyline Peter Susan so you keep telling us! why?
It's not that clear really if it's Ken or Len or anything & I've played it a few times.

LOL Elsie shoveling in that sugar.
6 teaspoons for shock. 😁
Whispering Pines...lol...
23:38 what is Dennis looking at or thinking about?
If Pat Phoenix would've slowed down a bit, she might have got at least over 50% of her lines out without stumbling.

😅someone once referred to Elsie as the Joan Crawford of the Street
@@jimdavis3435 well done saying that, i have noticed that they all spoke quickly, may be the directors or who ever made them do it
Yep ...peter Adamson....say no more
Emily and Doreen would be the nutcases who would fall in love with Ted Bundy. Pathetic...and sad
I like the sound of this Teddy Bundy character - is he a looker ?
Of course let's not blame the perp just the victim.
Cheese and mint 🤮
