Great video Mike! Drivers here in brampton are terrible. We all make mistakes on the road but it goes beyond that. They must be giving away driver licenses cause that’s how it seems.
@@mapledripcomics as a pedestrian don’t ever assume you have the right of way and you should be fine! More videos to come on these Brampton streets, too, God willing
Why do people move to Brampton? It's like saying "Guess what, I stabbed myself in the leg willingly today." I just don't get the thought process. And if its for work, thats fine, work outside of the city in the normal world.
I have been living in Brampton since I was 10 years old in 1988. I have no doubt that compared to the average person I have walked/cycled more around this city. Many times I have been nearly struck as a pedestrian while wearing my Orange safety work clothes. Only crossing at intersections during the walk signal with the Green light. Most off these happened on my way home from afternoon shifts at cross docks like Day and Ross or Speedy Transport. However, too many have happened in the best possible weather conditions during the daytime. Ultimately, the choice to walk when and where I did was up to me. Maybe this person parking illegally irked you and it allowed you to lead you and your wife closer to potential harm. Had you not been intent on taking a picture you may have thought about your proximity. Not to say you shouldn't walk the shortest route to the obvious pathway. But now that you have this terrible experience where you feel some shame for exploding violently and pain in your hand, let it empower you to always walk safely. You have children who that would miss Daddy when he is in jail. Take pleasure in the journey, take the time to make the journey as safe for your family as possible. If that was the only car in the parking lot and you knew someone was in it, better to have walked an extra 30 steps to your right to avoid it. When people don't stop to smell the roses the get stung by all the bees they awaken by running through life's garden.
@@yaketythack no I don’t feel shame from that tbh. I don’t like being angry but it was fully warranted in that situation. We were already walking safely, and it was my awareness that had me move my wife and I out of the way. Just because you seem to blame yourself for other people’s bad driving habits doesn’t mean I’ll do the same.
Stay safe out there bro! 100% agree Brampton drivers are absolutely nuts sometimes. I can go for a 30 minute walk down Main street near Leger and see like 10 questionable things happen in that time from gunning it through a yellow that's redder than the devil's dick to a 0 brake tap stop signs. When i worked in Milton/Georgetown you could basically tell on the commute home who was going to Brampton and who wasn't lmao. I think there's a saying i've heard a few times that's basically "the graveyard is full of people that had the right of way" that couldn't be more true here.

Hey I appreciate this topic! I moved to brampton recently and it seems like its a whole other world over here
Yes it seems like it! And I don’t mean to make it seem all bad cause I really love this city. The driving is more than concerning, though…
@@muzzymikeonthemic I can only imagine! I dont drive so i only hear the horror stories, so a channel like this is very interesting
