- In this video I will walk you through exactly how I built this Heat Exchange Recirculating Mash (HERMS) System. I am very excited to bring this to youtube and apologize for how long it has been since part 1 Sanding and Polishing Stainless Steel Keg to a Mirror Finish [4K] • Sanding and Polishing ... was published. I'll walk you through how I cut the top off the keg, Installed fittings, put together all of the fittings, and a final installation. I also have a neat bottom mash drain specifically for kegs. Nice choice on the Yuengling kegs! Pottsville PA, it is a great tour of the brewery if you have the opportunity.
Would love to see a plumbing diagram. I've got a pretty similar setup and hate going through hose changes. Would love to get on video and go through some of the things you've done vs what I have. I'm thinking of going to a manifold setup. Let me know.

Where did you source your stainless fittings and electric ball valves?
Mostly off of Amazon for ease of purchase and return if needed. But if they didn’t have exactly what I was looking for I’d google and look around at pricing options.

How is it going with the build? When is the part 3 coming :) ?
Part 3/4 and hopefully a first brew day will be coming soon in the next few weeks. Got a bit behind and had some stuff on backorder for a while.
@@TrevsGarage Awesome job so far. I ran a 1bbl micro brewery for a brew pub and bought everything. I'm looking to get back into it at home and building a system seems to be the route I want to go. Good luck and cant wait to see the finished system and first brew! Cheers!
