I've used an old ball recipe for years for pickled jalapenos and all it calls for is vinegar and salt in the brine. I add on clove of garlic and like 1/8 tsp of pickle crisp to each jar before I put the peppers in. Also...I use a banjo to slice my peppers makes quick work of them, just have to be careful and not slice your finger on it. A chopstick works amazing for de-bubbling jars too. (I'm watching, making cheese...pausing...watching commenting hahaha) Beautiful peppers and dilly beans Jan.
Lol 😂 I do that a lot! I’ve sliced my fingers so many times on the mandolin that I just do it by hand for now! I saw a cool looking one that doesn’t require me to slice so I may purchase it.

you can take the salt out by adding sugar.
